## Briefing
Entelligence is an **AI-powered engineering intelligence platform**. It is substantially broader than an “AI code-review tool.” The product connects the systems where engineering work happens so teams can understand AI usage, improve code quality, improve production reliability, and control AI/model cost.
Docs: https://docs.entelligence.ai/
Site: https://entelligence.ai
### Mental model
Entelligence builds an intelligence layer across the engineering organization — connecting code, PRs, AI coding sessions, incidents, observability, projects, documentation, teams, and production outcomes so both humans and AI agents can understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what to do next.
In one sentence:
**Entelligence connects your code, AI coding agents, engineering work, and production systems into shared engineering intelligence that helps teams review code, prevent recurring incidents, understand and optimize AI spend, investigate engineering questions, automate workflows, maintain documentation, and understand what actually reaches production.**
Even shorter:
**Entelligence connects what engineers and AI agents do → what code changes → what ships → what happens in production → what the organization learns from it.**
The interesting part is not any single feature. It is the **shared engineering context** underneath them. Products such as Code Review, Ellie, Agent Insights, Model Router, and Code Reliability consume different portions of that shared context. That is why the broader product is best described as an **engineering intelligence / operational memory layer**, rather than simply an AI code-review product.
### Shared context Entelligence connects
**Code & Git** — repositories, commits, PRs, reviews, code relationships.
**Production** — incidents, logs/metrics/traces, observability, historical failures, reliability patterns.
**AI development** — Claude Code / Cursor / Codex (and similar) sessions, models, tokens, cost, context health, skills, agent behavior.
**Engineering work** — Jira / Linear, projects, teams, developers, delivery.
**Knowledge** — repository documentation, AGENTS.md, engineering guidelines, learnings, incident history.
---
### 1. AI Code Review
Pages: https://entelligence.ai/code-review · https://entelligence.ai/cli
Entelligence reviews pull requests using more than the isolated diff. It can use **full-repository context, team-defined guidance, historical learnings, linked codebases, and production evidence** to look for bugs and production-impacting problems. Findings can include priority, suggestions, and confidence; teams can provide feedback to improve future reviews. Reviews can happen on PRs or against local Git changes through the CLI.
Important distinction — **contextual review rather than generic linting**:
`PR change → repository context → engineering rules → historical knowledge → production evidence → finding/fix`
Entelligence also provides review analytics around PR flow, review effectiveness, churn, and code-quality trends. The CLI product describes an **agentic review loop** where Entelligence can review a PR, generate fixes, and re-review rather than only producing a static list of comments.
### 2. Code Reliability / Incident Intelligence
Pages: https://entelligence.ai/ · related research https://entelligence.ai/research/self-healing-production-systems
This connects **what happened in production back to the code that caused it**.
Entelligence can ingest production/incident information, identify recurring incident patterns and clusters, investigate reliability problems, propose fixes, follow those fixes through deployment, and monitor whether the fix holds. It also includes **Observability Audits**, which evaluate a repository’s observability and produce grades, P0–P3 priorities, workstreams, coverage information, and recommendations.
Larger loop:
`Codebase → Observability → Incident → Root cause → Fix/PR → Deployment → Verification → Learned production knowledge`
That production history can then inform future reviews, so previous failures become context for preventing similar failures from shipping again.
### 3. Agent Insights
Page: https://entelligence.ai/agent-insights
Analytics and intelligence for **AI coding agents** — not merely “how many tokens did we use?”
Tracked dimensions include:
`AI sessions → tools → models → engineers → projects → spend → efficiency → context health → outcomes`
Coverage includes coding-agent adoption, efficiency, spend, session behavior, context health, capability signals, and outcomes. It supports project budgets, burn monitoring, and investigation of **untracked spend**. Member-level views include adoption stages, skill recommendations, and **Entelligence Wrapped**, designed to explain how developers actually use coding agents. Docs explicitly caution against treating raw AI activity as employee-performance measurement.
Questions this answers:
- Where is our AI budget going?
- Which agents/models are being used, and for what?
- Where are tokens being wasted?
- Is context being reused effectively?
- What engineering outcomes result from the spend?
### 4. Model Router
Page: https://entelligence.ai/model-router
Not every coding task needs the most expensive frontier model. Entelligence can route supported coding-agent requests by **quality and cost**, with policies such as **Balanced** and **Eco**. Teams can inspect routed sessions, individual model choices, model distribution, savings, member-level savings, and billing totals.
Loop:
`coding-agent request → classify the work → choose an appropriate model → execute → measure quality/cost → record the session`
Supports Proxy and BYOK credential models, wallet/billing controls, limits, rollback, and routing analytics.
Complementary pair:
- **Agent Insights** = understand AI usage and economics.
- **Model Router** = actively optimize those economics.
### 5. Ask Ellie
Page: https://entelligence.ai/ask-ellie
**Ellie** is the conversational interface over Entelligence’s connected engineering context.
Instead of manually opening GitHub, an incident system, project tools, analytics dashboards, and AI-agent dashboards, engineers and leaders can ask questions across connected **code, PRs, incidents, delivery information, and AI-agent context**. Available through the Entelligence web interface and Slack.
Ellie is not limited to answers. An answer can continue into a permitted action such as creating a **ticket, reminder, alert, recurring report, or automation**, with permissions and confirmation controls around write actions.
Pattern:
`Engineering knowledge → conversational reasoning → answer → optional action`
Example questions:
- “Which PRs this week are most likely to create production problems?”
- “Why did checkout reliability get worse after Tuesday?”
- “Where is our Claude/Codex spend going this month?”
Ellie reasons over connected engineering systems rather than behaving like a generic chatbot.
### 6. Automations
Turns intelligence into ongoing workflows.
**Pulse** — scheduled intelligence. Custom Reports or Individual Insights on schedules (day, time, timezone, user, manager, or Slack channel).
**Reactor** — event-driven intelligence. Listen to Slack messages with inclusion/exclusion rules, then execute Ellie instructions or permitted connected actions.
Automation recipes cover PRs, sprints, teams, security, budgets, incidents, and Slack events.
So beyond `Human asks Ellie → Ellie investigates`, you can have:
`Engineering event → Entelligence detects it → Ellie investigates/reasons → report/action delivered`
### 7. Repository Documentation / AGENTS.md
Page: https://entelligence.ai/documentation
Entelligence can generate documentation directly from a repository and keep that documentation synchronized as the code changes — including **AGENTS.md** files with repository-specific instructions for coding agents.
Supports generate, update, synchronize, and track documentation; weekly or monthly sync; update history/timeline; Slack notifications; export to **Markdown, Notion, or Confluence**. Public AutoDocs positioning: automatically generating architectural overviews/component relationships while still allowing manual edits.
Loop:
`Code changes → Entelligence understands changes → documentation updates → agent instructions stay synchronized`
### 8. Entelligence CLI + Agent / MCP access
Page: https://entelligence.ai/cli · agent docs via https://docs.entelligence.ai/
Much of Entelligence does not require living only in the dashboard. The **CLI** exposes workflows for code review, agent analytics, Wrapped, incidents, security, and Model Router from the terminal. There is also MCP/API-key access, with documentation intended for agents such as **Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and Cursor**.
---
### What ties all of this together
Shared engineering context is the product spine. Code Review, Ellie, Agent Insights, Model Router, reliability workflows, and documentation are different lenses on the same connected memory of engineering work and production outcomes.
