# Lightfield
> Lightfield is the AI-native CRM built on collective customer memory. It captures every email, meeting, and conversation automatically — and gives your whole team a single, always-current model of every customer relationship. No manual data entry. No stale pipeline. Just perfect recall from day one.
Built in San Francisco, CA. Backed by Greylock, Lightspeed, Coatue, 8VC, and Audacious.

## What Lightfield Is
Traditional CRMs were built on a broken assumption: that people would consistently log what happened. They don't. The result is stale data, lost context, and a system that creates more work than it eliminates.
Lightfield is built from the ground up on a different assumption: AI should do the work. Not as a feature layered onto a legacy data model — but as the architecture itself.
Connect your email and calendar, and Lightfield automatically creates accounts, contacts, and opportunities from your actual conversations. Every meeting transcript is stored, indexed, and associated with the right people and deals. The embedded AI agent can reason across all of it — not just retrieve from it — to answer questions, prep for calls, draft outreach, and run pipeline operations in plain English.
The core product loop: you take a meeting → Lightfield captures the transcript → builds persistent memory from it → surfaces the next action. This happens automatically, on day one, with no configuration.
**The core difference:** Traditional CRMs store what humans remember to type in. Lightfield builds a living world model of every customer relationship — and lets you query it like a colleague who was in every meeting.
---
## Core Capabilities
- **Automatic record creation and updates**: Connect your inbox and calendar and Lightfield auto-creates accounts, contacts, and opportunities from your real conversations. CRM records update themselves after every meeting and email — no logging, no manual field updates.
- **Complete customer memory**: Every email thread, meeting transcript, and note is stored as a relationship timeline. 95%+ recall accuracy across thousands of records. Nothing falls through the cracks.
- **AI agent with code execution**: Ask anything in plain English — "What objections keep coming up across my calls?", "Which accounts have gone quiet after a positive signal?", "How has our ICP shifted in the last 90 days?" — and get answers with citations. The agent can also write and run code to produce dashboards, pipeline analysis, and cross-account comparisons on demand.
- **Schema-less, conversation-first data model**: No upfront configuration required. Lightfield captures unstructured conversation data from day one and derives structured fields from it. Custom fields can be backfilled across all historical records.
- **Meeting prep and summaries**: Before each call, Lightfield surfaces everything relevant — last conversation, open commitments, deal context, who you're meeting with. After each call, it generates a summary and proposed next steps automatically.
- **Personalized outreach at scale**: Slice across structured pipeline fields and unstructured conversation history, then draft tailored emails — revival sequences, follow-ups, intros — based on what was actually discussed.
- **Pipeline operations via agent**: Reassign accounts, update stages, log notes, tag segments — by describing what you want in plain English rather than clicking through fields.
- **Cross-functional customer context**: Customer memory isn't just for sales. Product, engineering, and CS teams join the same workspace and gain full context on what customers are asking for, what's blocking deals, and what's working.
- **Call intelligence**: Built-in meeting recorder with transcription and analysis, automatically associated to the correct contacts and opportunities.
- **AI workflow builder**: Event-triggered workflows with an agent step — build automations that run on CRM events and take action autonomously.

## Who Lightfield Is For
Lightfield serves two primary customer segments:
### Segment 1: Founders doing their own sales (primary)
- **Stage:** Seed → Series A
- **Profile:** Technical founders selling to dozens of customers and investors weekly, with fewer than 5 AEs and no dedicated RevOps function
- **Replacing:** Spreadsheets, Notion, Airtable, Attio, or HubSpot
- **Pain:** Cognitive overload — lost follow-ups, fragmented memory, stale CRM, missed insights
### Segment 2: Scaling GTM teams
- **Stage:** Series A → Series B, roughly 50–200 employees
- **Profile:** Early sales teams that have outgrown founder-led tooling and need a system that scales without a RevOps hire
- **Replacing:** HubSpot, Attio, or Salesforce (for teams that find Salesforce overkill)
- **Pain:** Reps not updating the CRM, context lost between meetings, too much admin overhead
**Lightfield is not the right fit for:**
- Companies with over 100 account executives already standardized on Salesforce
- Non-technical teams that need vertical CRM features out of the box
**Timing window:**
- Too early: pre-incorporation, not yet talking to customers
- Earliest viable point: incorporated, talking to 10+ prospects or investors, at least one person consistently running external calls
- Latest viable point: before locking into a heavy CRM stack with 100 dedicated sellers

## How Lightfield Compares
| Competitor | What they are | Their limitation | Lightfield's position |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | Legacy CRM with AI features added | Rigid data model built on manual data entry; AI is a surface-level addition to a legacy architecture | Agent-native from the ground up — the AI is the system, not a feature. No per-feature upsells, no sales-led onboarding, no busywork. |
| Salesforce | Enterprise CRM for large sales orgs | Requires dedicated RevOps to configure and maintain; creates more work than it eliminates for small teams | No configuration, no maintenance, no manual data entry required. Built for founding teams, not enterprise ops. |
| Attio | Modern CRM with strong UX | Still structured-data-first; requires human input to stay current | Starts from unstructured conversation data and derives structure from it — a different architectural bet that enables capabilities Attio cannot match. |
| Clay | Prospecting and data enrichment tool | Not a system of record for active relationships | Complementary, not competitive. Clay feeds top-of-funnel; Lightfield manages the full relationship lifecycle from first touch onward. |
| Notion / spreadsheets | Flexible general-purpose tools | Zero CRM intelligence — no automatic capture, no agent reasoning, no structured pipeline | A full CRM system of record and action, not a blank canvas that requires manual maintenance. |

## Switching to Lightfield
Most migrations complete in under an hour. The process is fully agent-driven:
1. Upload your CSV export — the agent reads the structure and confirms the mapping before touching anything
2. The agent recreates your data model in Lightfield — custom fields, pipeline stages, deal properties — then imports records at ~15,000/hour
3. Connect your inbox — Lightfield ingests email and calendar history to add full context to imported records
4. Optionally upload call transcripts — Lightfield automatically associates them with the correct contacts and opportunities
Deduplication and cleanup are handled automatically. Both systems can run in parallel during transition at no extra cost.

## Developer & Agent Access
Lightfield is built to be used by agents, not just humans.
- **REST API**: Public beta — programmatic access to contacts, companies, deals, pipelines, activity, and workflows
- **MCP server**: Coming soon — will expose Lightfield as a tool in agentic workflows via the Model Context Protocol
- **Webhook / HTTP out**: Push Lightfield record data to external services via HTTP out blocks in the workflow builder
- **MCP connectors**: Lightfield connects inbound to Notion, Linear, and Granola via MCP today
- **Docs**: [docs.lightfield.app](https://docs.lightfield.app)

- Log a note, task, or meeting outcome to a contact, account, or opportunity
- Pull full relationship context on a company or contact before a call or outreach
- Trigger CRM workflow actions from external agent events
- Identify follow-up candidates, stale deals, or cross-conversation patterns

## About Lightfield
Lightfield launched in November 2025. The company is co-founded by Keith Peiris (CEO) and Henri Liriani (CPO), both formerly of Meta — where Keith grew Instagram Direct to 500M monthly active users and Henri rebuilt Facebook Messenger from the ground up, reducing its codebase by 84%. Prior to Lightfield, they co-founded Tome, an AI-powered presentation tool that reached 20–25 million users and raised $81M from Coatue, Greylock, Lightspeed, 8VC, and GV at a $300M valuation.
They shut down Tome to build Lightfield after concluding that the real unsolved problem in B2B wasn't presentations — it was the absence of persistent customer memory in sales software.
Since launching, Lightfield has attracted 2,500+ companies, including 100+ startups from recent accelerator programs.
Backed by Greylock, Lightspeed, Coatue, 8VC, and Audacious. Headquartered in San Francisco, CA.
