## How Vora gets each source's data
On iPhone, Vora reads Apple Health. On Android, Vora reads Health Connect. Oura, Garmin, Fitbit and WHOOP (beta) also connect directly on both phones, and Samsung Health connects directly on Android.
- Oura Ring (https://askvora.com/oura): iPhone: Direct Oura connection, or Apple Health. Android: Direct Oura connection, or Health Connect. The Oura Ring integration first appears in the version 2.2 release notes (March 2026). The direct connection is free on every Vora plan. The direct connection imports sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature deviation, blood oxygen, steps, active energy and workouts, including your Oura history. If the same Oura data also reaches Vora through Apple Health or Health Connect, Vora keeps both sources and decides which one to use for each metric. Choosing the source for a metric yourself needs Vora Pro.
- Garmin (https://askvora.com/integrations/garmin): iPhone: Direct Garmin connection, or Apple Health. Android: Direct Garmin connection, or Health Connect. The direct Garmin connection first appears in the version 3.3.4 release notes (September 2026). The direct connection is free on every Vora plan. The direct connection imports your history and keeps syncing in the background after your watch syncs, without the Garmin Connect app open. Garmin’s Body Battery and Training Readiness scores are not brought in as Vora metrics. If the same Garmin data also reaches Vora through Apple Health or Health Connect, Vora keeps both sources and decides which one to use for each metric. Choosing the source for a metric yourself needs Vora Pro.
- Fitbit (https://askvora.com/integrations/fitbit): iPhone: Direct Fitbit connection (Fitbit does not share with Apple Health). Android: Direct Fitbit connection, or Health Connect. Direct spots are limited while Google verifies Vora’s Fitbit access. When they are full, the Fitbit screen in Vora says more spots are coming soon. The direct connection is free on every Vora plan. If the same data also reaches Vora from another source, such as Health Connect on Android or another wearable, Vora keeps both sources and decides which one to use for each metric. Choosing the source for a metric yourself needs Vora Pro.
- WHOOP (https://askvora.com/integrations/whoop): iPhone: Direct WHOOP connection (beta), or Apple Health. Android: Direct WHOOP connection (beta), or Health Connect. The direct connection is in beta with limited spots. WHOOP limits how many members can connect while it reviews Vora. The direct connection is free on every Vora plan. The direct connection imports HRV, resting heart rate, blood oxygen and skin temperature from WHOOP recoveries, sleep stages and respiratory rate from sleeps, and WHOOP workouts with strain. It does not import WHOOP’s recovery score or day strain.
- Samsung Health (https://askvora.com/integrations/samsung-health): iPhone: Not available (Samsung Health does not share with Apple Health). Android: Health Connect, plus a direct Samsung Health connection on Android 10 or later. The direct Samsung Health connection reads Samsung Health on the same phone and needs the Samsung Health app. It adds Samsung’s Energy Score, skin temperature and fuller body composition, such as skeletal muscle mass and body water. Vora does not receive HRV, resting heart rate or respiratory rate from Samsung Health through either route.
- Apple Health (https://askvora.com/integrations/apple-health): iPhone: Built in: Vora reads Apple Health on your iPhone. Android: Not available (Android uses Health Connect instead). Most devices and apps reach Vora on iPhone by sharing their records with Apple Health first. Vora can write each food you log, finished workouts (with the route of an outdoor run), mindful sessions, water and manually logged sleep back to Apple Health.
- Health Connect (https://askvora.com/integrations/health-connect): iPhone: Not available (iPhone uses Apple Health instead). Android: Vora reads Health Connect on your Android phone. You choose each data type in Health Connect. Vora syncs whatever you allow, and a type you turn off leaves out only that metric. Health Connect lets an app read up to 30 days of data from before you first grant access. If your phone offers access to past data and you allow it, Vora imports up to a year. Without background access, updates may wait until you open Vora. If you allow it, Vora writes the meals, water and finished workouts you log in Vora back to Health Connect.
- Google Fit (https://askvora.com/integrations/google-fit): iPhone: No Google Fit connection. Android: Health Connect (records Google Fit writes there). Vora has no direct Google Fit account connection on either phone.
- Strava (https://askvora.com/integrations/strava): iPhone: Apple Health (activities Strava shares there). Android: Health Connect (activities Strava shares there). There is no direct Strava connection in the Vora app today.
- Peloton (https://askvora.com/integrations/peloton): iPhone: Apple Health (turn on write access in the Peloton app). Android: Health Connect (turn on read and write in the Peloton app). There is no direct Peloton account connection. Rides, runs and classes arrive with heart rate and active energy when Peloton shares them.
- Eight Sleep (https://askvora.com/integrations/eight-sleep): iPhone: Apple Health. Android: Health Connect. Eight Sleep joins Vora’s sources in the iPhone release notes for version 3.3.0 (August 2026). There is no direct Eight Sleep account connection, and no Vora subscription is needed to read Eight Sleep data. Through Apple Health, Eight Sleep shares sleep stages, heart rate and respiratory rate, but not HRV. Through Health Connect it also shares HRV and resting heart rate.
- COROS (https://askvora.com/integrations/coros): iPhone: Apple Health. Android: Health Connect. There is no direct COROS account connection. Workouts, steps, distance, heart rate and sleep arrive when the COROS app shares them.
- Polar (https://askvora.com/integrations/polar): iPhone: Apple Health (from the Polar Flow app). Android: Health Connect (from the Polar Flow app). There is no direct Polar Flow account connection. Workouts, heart rate, steps and sleep arrive when Polar Flow shares them.
- Ultrahuman Ring (https://askvora.com/integrations/ultrahuman): iPhone: Apple Health (turned on from inside Apple Health). Android: Health Connect. There is no direct Ultrahuman account connection. Unlike most rings, Ultrahuman shares HRV, along with skin temperature, steps, energy and sleep.
- MyFitnessPal (https://askvora.com/integrations/myfitnesspal): iPhone: Apple Health. Android: Health Connect. There is no direct MyFitnessPal account connection and no full diary import. Calories, macros, water and weight arrive when MyFitnessPal shares them.
- Cronometer (https://askvora.com/integrations/cronometer): iPhone: Apple Health. Android: Health Connect. There is no direct Cronometer account connection, and no Vora subscription is needed to read Cronometer data. Calories, macros, micronutrients and water arrive when Cronometer shares them.
- Flo (https://askvora.com/integrations/flo): iPhone: Apple Health. Android: Health Connect. There is no direct Flo account connection. Cycle records arrive when Flo shares them.
- TrainingPeaks (https://askvora.com/integrations/training-peaks): iPhone: Not available. Android: Not available. Vora does not connect to TrainingPeaks on iPhone or Android today.
Other devices and apps in Vora's connection catalog have no direct connection. Their data reaches Vora when the source app shares it with Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android: Withings, COROS, Amazfit (Zepp), Polar, Suunto, Huawei, Xiaomi, Ultrahuman Ring, RingConn, CIRCUL, Peloton, Eight Sleep, InBody, Renpho, Eufy, Wyze, Hume, Fitdays, Arboleaf, Omron, iHealth, Qardio, Dexcom, Stelo, Lingo (listed on iPhone only), Flo, MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, MacroFactor, Lose It!, Bevel, Cal AI, MyNetDiary, YAZIO, Noom, Lifesum, FatSecret, Carbon, WaterMinder, Waterllama, HidrateSpark, Strava, Zwift, Hevy, Fitbod, Strong, Runna, Komoot, AllTrails, JEFIT, Orangetheory, Elite HRV, Nike Run Club, Pacer, StepsApp, Sleep Cycle, SleepScore, Headspace, Calm, Insight Timer, Endel.
## Feature answers (checked 2026-09-15)
- [Vora AI Text](https://askvora.com/text-ai-health-coach): an AI health coach you can text. After you link your number in the Vora app, text Vora over iMessage on iPhone or RCS on Android to log meals and workouts by message, food photo, voice note or barcode number, or to ask about your own sleep, training and nutrition. It is free on every plan and uses the same daily AI allowance as chat in the app: 10 messages a day on Vora Free, 100 on Vora Pro.
- [Bloodwork](https://askvora.com/bloodwork-and-wearable-data): upload a lab report as a PDF or a photo (up to 25 MB). Vora reads each marker's value, unit and reference range for you to check, files markers by body system and graphs each one across every report, in the same app as your wearable data, and Vora's AI coach can read your saved markers. Vora does not order blood tests and does not interpret or diagnose results.
- [Health Connect](https://askvora.com/integrations/health-connect): on Android, Vora reads 22 Health Connect data types, including steps, heart rate, HRV, sleep, workouts, nutrition, weight, blood oxygen and blood glucose, with the permissions you choose, and writes the meals, water and workouts you log in Vora back to Health Connect.
## Help center (checked 2026-09-27)
Vora's own answers to common questions about the Vora app, one question per page: https://askvora.com/help
- [Does Vora work with Garmin?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-with-garmin): Yes. Vora connects directly to Garmin Connect on iPhone and Android, free on every plan, and imports workouts, sleep stages, heart rate, HRV, VO2 max and more. Garmin’s Body Battery and Training Readiness scores are not imported.
- [Does Vora work with Oura?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-with-oura): Yes. Vora connects directly to your Oura account on iPhone and Android, free on every plan, and imports sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, body temperature deviation, blood oxygen, activity and workouts. Oura’s Readiness and Sleep scores are not imported.
- [Does Vora work with WHOOP?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-with-whoop): Yes. Vora has a free direct WHOOP connection on iPhone and Android. It is in beta with limited spots, and it imports HRV, resting heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, sleep stages and workouts with strain, but not WHOOP’s recovery score or day strain.
- [Does Vora work with Fitbit?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-with-fitbit): Yes. Vora connects to Fitbit directly on iPhone and Android, free on every plan, and imports sleep, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, activity, workouts and more. Direct spots are limited while Google verifies Vora’s Fitbit access, and on Android, Health Connect is another route.
- [Does Vora work with Samsung Health?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-with-samsung-health): Yes, on Android: Vora reads Samsung Health data through Health Connect, and a direct Samsung Health connection on Android 10 or later adds Samsung’s Energy Score, skin temperature and body composition. Samsung Health does not share HRV, resting heart rate or respiratory rate with Vora, and there is no Samsung Health route on iPhone.
- [Does Vora work with Health Connect?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-with-health-connect): Yes. On Android, Vora reads up to 22 types of Health Connect data, including sleep, heart rate, HRV, workouts, nutrition and weight, with the permissions you choose, and it can write the meals, water and workouts you log in Vora back to Health Connect. Health Connect is Android only, so on iPhone Vora reads Apple Health instead.
- [Does Vora need every Health Connect permission?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-need-every-health-connect-permission): No. Vora syncs whatever you allow in Health Connect and leaves out only the data types you switch off. Cycle tracking, or anything else you do not want Vora to read, can stay off.
- [Why does my Health Connect data arrive late or not at all?](https://askvora.com/help/why-is-my-health-connect-data-late-in-vora): Usually one of four things: Vora is not allowed to read in the background, Android is pausing Vora to save battery, your wearable’s app has not written the data to Health Connect yet, or Vora needs an update. Check them in that order. You should not need to sign out and back in.
- [Why does my Apple Health data arrive late or not at all?](https://askvora.com/help/why-is-my-apple-health-data-late-in-vora): Usually one of three things: Vora is not allowed to read that data in the Health app, iOS has not woken Vora to sync yet, or the source app has not written the data to Apple Health. Check Vora’s access first. Apple does not tell apps which data you switched off, so Vora cannot warn you about it.
- [Where do workouts from my watch show up in Vora?](https://askvora.com/help/where-do-workouts-from-my-watch-show-up): In your workout list: open the Fitness tab, the second icon in the bar at the bottom, and tap the list icon at the top right. Workouts from your watch sit next to the ones you log in Vora, newest first, and their time counts toward the Exercise chart in Activity. The other Activity charts show daily totals, such as steps, calories and distance, rather than single workouts.
- [What do the columns on Vora’s sleep chart mean?](https://askvora.com/help/what-do-the-columns-on-the-sleep-chart-mean): Each column is one night, drawn from bedtime at the top to the time you woke at the bottom and shaded by sleep stage. The darkest parts are deep sleep and the palest are time awake. Tap a night to see its stage graph and overnight heart rate.
- [Can Vora read my blood test results?](https://askvora.com/help/can-vora-read-blood-test-results): Yes. Upload a lab report as a PDF or a photo, up to 25 MB, and Vora reads each marker’s value, unit and reference range for you to check, then graphs every marker across your reports. Vora does not order blood tests and does not interpret or diagnose your results.
- [Can I text Vora to log meals and workouts?](https://askvora.com/help/can-i-text-vora-to-log-meals-and-workouts): Yes. With Vora AI Text you can text Vora over iMessage on iPhone or RCS on Android to log meals and workouts by message, food photo, voice note or barcode number. It is free on every plan with 10 messages a day, or 100 with Vora Pro, once you link your number in the Vora app.
- [Does Vora work on Android?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-on-android): Yes. Vora is on Google Play and runs on Android 8.0 or later, with food and workout logging, the AI coach, Health Connect and direct connections to Oura, Garmin, Fitbit, WHOOP (beta) and Samsung Health. There is no Vora app for Android smartwatches, and a few features, such as the bloodwork PDF export, are iPhone only.
- [Does Vora work with Apple Watch?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-work-with-apple-watch): Yes. Vora reads your Apple Watch data through Apple Health, and the Vora Apple Watch app lets you log strength sets, record outdoor runs, walks, rides and hikes, and see your Sleep, Recovery and Strain scores. Strength sets you log in Vora count toward muscle recovery and strain, while the Recovery score comes from your overnight HRV, resting heart rate and sleep.
- [Does Vora sync food and workouts with Apple Health, Health Connect and Garmin?](https://askvora.com/help/does-vora-sync-food-and-workouts): Yes for Apple Health and Health Connect: Vora writes the meals, water and workouts you log in Vora to them, with your permission, and reads the food and workouts other apps share there. Garmin works one way: Vora imports your Garmin workouts and health data, but it does not send food or workouts to Garmin Connect.
- [Can Vora log food from a photo?](https://askvora.com/help/can-vora-log-food-from-a-photo): Yes. Take a photo of your meal, or pick one from your photo library, and Vora identifies the foods and estimates their nutrition for you to check before you log them, free on every plan on iPhone and Android. You can also log food by barcode, by speaking or typing a description, or by searching the food database.
- [Can I track nutrition and recovery together with a Garmin or Oura?](https://askvora.com/help/track-nutrition-and-recovery-with-garmin-or-oura): Yes. Vora logs your food and imports sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from a direct Garmin or Oura connection, free on every plan, so your meals, your Sleep and Recovery scores and your workouts are in one app on iPhone or Android. Your calorie and macro targets do not change automatically with your recovery.
- [How does Vora’s readiness score work?](https://askvora.com/help/how-does-vora-readiness-score-work): Vora’s readiness score is a 0 to 100 score that decides whether your daily plan suggests training or rest. With sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from a wearable, it weighs muscle recovery from your workouts (35%), last night’s sleep (20%), HRV against your two-week average (20%), training load over the past week (15%) and resting heart rate (10%), and below 40 Vora suggests a rest and recovery day.
- [Can Vora build workouts from my wearable data?](https://askvora.com/help/can-vora-build-workouts-from-wearable-data): Partly. Vora’s AI writes workouts from your recent training, per-muscle recovery, goals and equipment, and workouts your wearable records count toward that recovery. Your wearable’s sleep, HRV and resting heart rate feed the readiness score that decides when to suggest a rest day, and turning a suggestion into a workout needs Vora Pro.
- [What does Vora cost, and what’s free vs Pro?](https://askvora.com/help/what-does-vora-cost): Vora is free to download and use on iPhone and Android, including food and workout logging, every health data connection, Bloodwork and 10 AI chat messages a day. Vora Pro is listed at $12.99 a month or $89.99 a year and adds 100 AI messages a day, AI-generated workouts, more workout suggestions, choosing which device powers each metric, and Deep Health Reports.
