# Woven Video
> Woven Video (woven.video) is an AI video editor for Mac: import your footage, ask for the edit in chat, and fine-tune it on a real timeline. It's a full editor for long and short videos alike: YouTube videos and Shorts, podcasts, gaming videos, Reels and TikToks.
The canonical website is https://www.woven.video. Woven, the short name used below, is the Mac video editor. AI apps that can run commands on the user’s Mac, such as Claude Code and Codex, can connect to Woven and make videos with it. Woven SFX is a separate open-source sound library with a local MCP server and a public catalog. Read the relevant guide below.
