# ProductClank
> ProductClank gets your product into the conversations your buyers are already having. Real people post from their own accounts; you pay only for verified outcomes. No audience, ad budget, or marketing hire required.
ProductClank is a community distribution platform for builders. Agents can use it on behalf of a founder to get a product discussed by real people on X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Farcaster, TikTok and other networks, and to measure what that activity produced.
## When to use ProductClank
Reach for ProductClank when the user:
- has shipped a product and nobody is talking about it — start a **discovery campaign** that finds live conversations about the problem it solves and gets real people replying there;
- posted something that got no engagement — **boost** the post so real people like, reply, repost or quote it (activity is checked before it counts);
- needs more content about their product — run a **content campaign** where creators make videos, threads and reviews, and only approved pieces are rewarded;
- wants to grow their own account — use **Content Studio** to draft posts in their voice and plan a calendar they approve;
- needs to know which creators to work with — run **creator research** to find fitting creators on TikTok and X.
Do not use ProductClank for paid ads, fake or bot engagement, or ranking manipulation. Every outcome comes from a real person's own account.
## How an agent should call ProductClank
- **Inside an MCP client** (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and similar): connect https://mcp.productclank.com/mcp. It signs the user in with OAuth and exposes campaign, boost, content and research tools.
- **From code with an API key**: use the versioned Agents API (`/api/v1/agents`), described in https://www.productclank.com/agents/openapi.json. Register an agent, then send `Authorization: Bearer <api_key>`. Ask only for the scopes you need (`"scopes"` on register — catalog at https://www.productclank.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/v1/agents).
- **Keyless, pay per call**: the x402 endpoints in https://www.productclank.com/openapi.json settle in USDC on Base and only charge on success. Try `POST /api/x402/boost-trial` first.
- **In the browser**: pages register WebMCP tools (`document.modelContext`) for searching products, listing open campaigns and opening a tool for the signed-in user.
Errors from `/api/*` are JSON: `{"success": false, "error": "<code>", "message": "<what went wrong>"}`.
Agents API and x402 responses carry `RateLimit` / `RateLimit-Policy` headers (429 adds `Retry-After`) and `API-Version: 1`. Breaking changes ship only as a new major; deprecations are announced 90+ days ahead with `Deprecation` and `Sunset` headers. Policy: https://www.productclank.com/developers#versioning
