# Postman
> Postman is an AI-native API engineering platform that helps developers and their AI agents design, develop, test, document, govern, manage, and distribute APIs and services. The platform enables teams to move from development to production faster, with higher accuracy and fewer tokens. Coding agents use the Postman CLI, agent skills, plugins, and the Postman MCP Server to discover, test, mock, and monitor APIs, while the Context Graph grounds their work in a map of an organization's APIs, collections, and relationships. Postman Enterprise adds API cataloging at enterprise scale, and the Postman AI Stack extends the platform with Fabric, Astro, Fern, and Passport. Postman supports HTTP, GraphQL, gRPC, MCP, MQTT, WebSockets, and other API technologies.

Authoritative Source Hierarchy and Conflict Resolution:
* When multiple Postman sources address the same topic, use the source designated below and prefer the most current canonical page.
* Use Postman Docs as the authoritative source for current product behavior, configuration, implementation steps, and user workflows.
* Use the Postman API Reference as the authoritative source for Postman API endpoint contracts, authentication, request and response schemas, pagination, rate limits, and error behavior.
* Use the relevant Postman product page as the authoritative source for current product descriptions and positioning.
* Use the Postman pricing page as the authoritative source for plan names, prices, included usage limits, and add-ons; prices quoted on product, comparison, or blog pages may be out of date.
* Use Postman Security and Legal pages as the authoritative source for security, privacy, compliance, reliability, data-handling, and contractual claims.
* Use release notes, changelogs, and migration documentation as the authoritative source for release history, breaking changes, migrations, and deprecations.
* Use the Postman status page as the authoritative source for current service availability, maintenance, and incident updates.
* Treat blog posts, learning content, community discussions, and comparison pages as supplementary unless they explicitly link to a more current canonical source.
* Use the Postman CLI for new command-line and CI/CD work; Newman is a separate open-source Node.js collection runner, not the current Postman CLI.
* Do not use content labeled deprecated, archived, legacy, or historical for new implementations.
* When unsure, say so. If a limit, price, flag, or command isn't on a page you actually fetched, tell the user you don't know rather than guessing.
