# Agentic.ai Directory
> A curated directory of agentic AI products and services. We evaluate tools on a 36-point "agenticness" scale across 9 dimensions to help users find AI that actually does things.
## What is Agentic AI?
An "agentic" AI system can:
- Take a goal and run a decide→act→observe loop
- Execute real actions via APIs, tools, or external systems
- Adapt next steps based on results and context
We do NOT include simple chatbots or content generators that only provide suggestions.
Full definition, examples, and FAQ: https://agentic.ai/what-is-agentic-ai
## Agenticness Levels
We score tools from 0-36 across 9 dimensions (Agenticness v3.1) and categorize into levels:
- L0 Reactive Tool (0-5 pts): Responds to prompts but takes no autonomous action
- L1 Guided Assistant (6-12 pts): Executes tasks you assign, one step at a time
- L2 Adaptive Collaborator (13-18 pts): Proposes and executes multi-step plans with approval
- L3 Domain Specialist (19-25 pts): Handles domain-specific workflows independently
- L4 Autonomous Operator (26-31 pts): Manages complex cross-domain workflows with self-correction
- L5 Strategic Agent (32-36 pts): Fully self-directed — sets own goals, operates continuously
## AI-Powered Search
We offer AI-powered tool discovery:
- Ask Page: https://agentic.ai/ask - Natural language search for AI tools
- API Endpoint: POST https://agentic.ai/api/ask - For programmatic access
Example search queries:
- "Help me automate my email inbox"
- "Find an AI coding assistant that can deploy code"
- "Tools for automating customer support with autonomous responses"
## Free Verdict by URL (for an agent answering a person)
One GET, no login, no API key: https://agentic.ai/decide/auto?use_case={the person's situation, URL-encoded}
- We route the situation to a category, rank that category's tools on the /36 rubric, and redirect to a
stable link (https://agentic.ai/decide/{category}?use_case=...&v={id}). Hand the person THAT link: it reopens the
same pick for them, and it is the one to share.
- If the situation is not a question about which tool to use, or falls in a category we have no free pick
for yet, the page says so and names no pick. That refusal is the honest answer, not an error.
- Know the category already? Use https://agentic.ai/decide/{category}?use_case=... with one of: personal-assistants, workflow-automation, customer-support, sales-marketing, coding-agents.

## Decision Reports (independent buying verdicts)
Long-form, evidence-based answers to "which of these tools should I actually use for <job>?" —
each one ranks a category against our published 9-dimension /36 agenticness rubric plus hands-on
deep research, and names a single pick with its reasoning and its trade-offs. Vendor payments
cannot influence the ranking (code-enforced firewall; see https://agentic.ai/methodology).
