# Transpose Platform
> Transpose Platform is a formation-stage venture capital fund with offices in San Francisco and Houston. It backs frontier founders from Day 0 and invests in the venture funds that accelerate them. The firm has been a first-check investor into top venture funds and founders, with 83+ unicorns in its portfolio.
Transpose Platform Management, LLC is an SEC-registered investment adviser. It invests in two ways: directly into early-stage (formation-stage) companies, and into venture funds. Its founder and General Partner, Alex Bangash, has helped invest over $2 billion in 50 funds since 2003, including first checks into Accel, First Round Capital, Founders Fund, Emergence, Y Combinator, Khosla, SaaStr, Initialized, Crystal Towers, and Baseline.
The firm runs c0mpiled, a hackathon series across San Francisco, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, and Bangalore, bringing together top builders, YC founders, and partner funds to surface founders it wants to back at inception.
