# Manifold

**When to use Manifold.**

Reach for Manifold when a question about marketing, growth, competitors or prospects needs live data from outside the conversation: numbers from Google search, answers from AI engines, records of companies and people, ads from the public ad libraries, and posts and profiles from social platforms. It fits jobs like these:

- Find keywords worth targeting, see who ranks for a query, and compare a site's rankings, traffic and backlinks with a competitor's.
- Audit a site for technical SEO, and check whether AI crawlers can read it.

**How to call it.** Connect to `https://mcp.manifoldmcp.com/mcp` (streamable HTTP; OAuth, or an API key as a bearer token) and call `tools/list`. Each tool's description says when to use it, what it returns and what it costs. Most calls spend credits from the user's balance, and a few tools are free: pass `dry_run: true` to see the price without paying it, and `max_credits` to cap a call.
