# Logo.dev
> Logo.dev is the comprehensive brand API for developers. One HTTP request returns a company logo, a company's domain from its name, or a full brand profile (name, description, socials, colors, blurhash). 100M+ companies, 70K+ stock tickers, about 20,000 crypto tokens. Free tier available.

- [Logo API](https://www.logo.dev/products/logo-api): Returns a company logo for any domain. Endpoint: `https://img.logo.dev/{domain}?token={publishable_key}`. Supports PNG, WebP, and JPG formats with dark mode, retina, greyscale, and monogram-fallback options.
- [Search API](https://www.logo.dev/products/brand-search-api): Resolves a company name to its domain. Endpoint: `https://api.logo.dev/v2/search?q={company_name}`. Returns ranked candidates, each with a domain and a logo URL. Supports `method=match` (full names) and `method=typeahead` (prefixes). Authenticated with a secret key (sk_...).
- [Brand API](https://www.logo.dev/products/brand-api): Returns a domain's full brand profile: the company name, description, social links across 13 platforms, social banner images, a logo URL, a brandmark (wide logo lockup) URL, a blurhash placeholder, and a dominant color palette. Endpoint: `https://api.logo.dev/v2/brands?domain={domain}` (also `ticker`, `isin`, `crypto`, or `name`); each request spends 5 API credits only when it is billed. Each brand domain is billed once per route per 24 hours, and repeats in that window, `202` (still indexing) and `404` responses, and their retries are free. API credits come from a monthly grant, and Pro, Enterprise, and custom-contract accounts can buy more.
- [Logo.dev MCP](https://www.logo.dev/products/mcp): Gives AI agents the Logo.dev API as tools. Endpoint: `https://mcp.logo.dev/mcp` (streamable HTTP transport, OAuth sign-in, no secret key in the client's configuration). Every `/v2` Logo.dev API route has a tool: brand lookup by domain, ticker, ISIN, crypto symbol, or name; logo and brandmark images; search; brand subscriptions; and webhook endpoints. Tools return the same data as the REST routes. Tool calls count as MCP usage, which spends API credits at the same rates, and share the same rate limits. - [API credits](https://www.logo.dev/docs/platform/credits): API credits pay for the Logo.dev API and the Logo.dev MCP. The Logo.dev CDN doesn't use them. A brand request costs 5 credits, a brandmark 3, a logo 2, and search 1 per 1,000 searches. Brand, brandmark, and logo requests bill each brand domain once per route per 24 hours, and `404` and `202` responses are free. Every plan includes credits each month, and Pro and Enterprise can buy more. Out of credits, the API returns `402`.
- [Teams](https://www.logo.dev/docs/platform/teams): A team shares one set of API keys, one plan, one allowance of CDN requests, and one API credit balance. Every account starts as its own team. Inviting teammates needs a paid plan. Roles are owner, admin, and member.
- [Webhooks](https://www.logo.dev/docs/webhooks): Sends `brand.updated` when a brand you subscribe to changes, and `brand.indexed` when a lookup that returned `202` finishes indexing, so you don't have to poll. Webhooks are on every paid plan, and your plan caps how many endpoints and subscriptions you can have.
