# HiveTerm
> The terminal for your agents and your stack. A native desktop workspace that runs Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity and Grok side by side, with scheduled routines that land in the agent's own conversation, and an iPhone & Android app when you leave the desk. Free for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
HiveTerm is a Tauri-based desktop app for developers running AI coding agents. It unifies the agents, your dev-stack processes, and git review in one window. Core capabilities: a live split-pane grid of different-vendor agents, routines (daily / weekdays / weekly / every N hours, injected into the live bee), a built-in MCP server (the Queen) so agents can spawn helpers, ask each other (`ask_bee`), and manage routines, a live sub-agent tree, config-as-code via `hive.yml`, inline git diff/commit/pull requests, a file explorer with VSCode-style search, voice input (Pro), and a warm-themed UI in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
There is no Discussions / Meetings panel. Agents talk through `ask_bee` (the question shows in the other agent's tab) and by spawning sub-agents you can see in the sidebar.

## Key facts
- The Queen is a local MCP server (it picks an available port automatically). Tools cover process control, ask_bee / create_agent, routines (create/list/update/delete/run), and a structured message bus (send_message, read_inbox, reply, await_reply). Isolated per project.
- Routines: saved in the project, shown in the sidebar. They fire into a live hive agent (start if stopped, interrupt and inject if busy). Templates: morning briefing, issue triage, dependency audit, weekly changelog, test health, branch cleanup. Shortcut: Cmd+Shift+R.
- Free includes 2 routines. Pro is unlimited.
- ask_bee: one agent asks another; the question appears in the target's tab; the answer comes back. Prefer this over scraping terminals.
- Sub-agents spawned via Queen land under Sub-agents (`queen/…` ids). Durable agents added with create_agent land under Agents and in hive.yml.
- Pricing: Free (1 project, 2 agents, 2 routines, 3 MCP sub-agents per agent, unlimited terminals and commands) or Pro at $99/year (unlimited; regional pricing applies; voice; mobile). 14-day trial, 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Mobile companion (Pro): iOS and Android, pairs with the desktop over an end-to-end encrypted link. Live terminals, voice, push. Tapping a notification opens that bee.
- No token reselling. Bring your own subscription or API keys. Code and terminal output stay on the machine.
- Cross-platform: macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows 10/11, Linux. Built with Rust + Tauri (~20MB).
