NotchNook was the first app to turn the MacBook notch into something useful, often described as "the Dynamic Island for Mac". NotchNook Pro is the original, rebuilt from the ground up by lo.cafe. It's a native macOS app, sold directly (not on the Mac App Store), and it also works on Macs and external displays without a notch.

- Music: See what's playing, scrub through the song and skip tracks. Works with Apple Music, Spotify and more.
- Calendar: Your upcoming events from macOS Calendar, with a countdown before each meeting.
- Clipboard: Everything you copy, one shortcut away, in the notch or a bottom shelf. Search, filter and sort it into categories. Passwords are never saved.

### What's the difference between Pro and Classic?

Pro is NotchNook rebuilt from the ground up: the Liquid Glass notch, your AI agents, a teleprompter, a terminal, Live Activities and much more, on up to 2 Macs. Classic is the classic NotchNook, with media controls, Calendar, the Nook widgets and the file Tray, on up to 2 Macs. Both keep getting updates.

### Does it work on my Mac?

Pro requires Apple silicon and macOS 14.6 or later. Classic also supports Intel Macs with macOS 14.6 or later.

### Does my Mac need a notch?

No. On screens without a notch, a small handle at the top opens the same Nook. Each display gets its own.

### Which music apps work with it?

Spotify, Apple Music and any other app macOS shows as Now Playing. If two are playing, you choose which one the Nook follows.

### Does it work with Google Calendar?

Yes, through the Mac's Calendar app. Add your Google account there and your events show up in the Nook.

### What permissions does it ask for, and what happens to my data?

NotchNook asks for a few macOS permissions, only for the features that need them, like Calendar for your events or the camera for the mirror. You decide what to allow, and anything you skip just leaves that feature off. Your notes, files and camera content stay on your Mac. Purchase and license data are processed to handle payments, activation and recovery, as described in the Privacy Policy.

### Are updates included?

Yes. As long as your license is active, every update comes at no extra cost: forever with a lifetime license, and for as long as you're subscribed with a monthly plan.

### Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Contact support@getnotchnook.com to cancel. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

### Can I get a refund?

For new NotchNook Classic or Pro purchases directly through Stripe under these Terms, you may request a full refund within 7 days by emailing support@getnotchnook.com. Refunds go to the original payment method and cancel the corresponding license. Purchases made under an earlier refund promise retain that promise. Paddle purchases follow Paddle’s applicable refund policy, including any longer period, and mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
