# Docsio
> The documentation platform built for AI search (Answer Engine Optimization). Docsio turns any URL or a set of uploaded files into a clean, structured, AI-readable knowledge site that AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews can read and cite. Every site ships an auto-generated llms.txt, schema.org markup, semantic HTML, and fast crawlable SSL hosting. An in-browser AI agent edits content in plain English; publish in one click.
As buyers shift from typing searches to asking AI, the businesses that win are the ones AI can read and cite. Docsio makes that content for you. It started with software teams (SaaS, developer tools, open source, agencies, startups) and now serves any business whose customers ask questions AI answers, including real estate, local services, e-commerce, healthcare and clinics, and professional services. The typical flow: you paste a URL or upload files, the AI extracts your brand and produces a structured, machine-readable site, you edit it with the AI agent, then publish it in one click to a branded subdomain or your own domain with automatic SSL.
Every trial and paid site includes generation, AI editing, custom domains, hosting, full-text search, versioning, reader chat, and MCP access. New sites have a refreshed design, and existing published sites remain supported.
Pricing: $10/month per documentation site, all features included, no Docsio branding. New accounts receive a seven-day trial for one site with no credit card. After expiry, unpaid sites are locked and temporarily offline; documents stay saved. Each additional site requires its own subscription. Existing grandfathered accounts retain their previous free access for now.
