# Codle

> Codle is a daily word game for programmers. Guess a five letter coding term in six attempts or less, with color coded feedback after every guess, in any browser. Made for developers and tech enthusiasts who like Wordle style puzzles but want the vocabulary to come from programming instead of general English.

Typical workflow: open the site, type a five letter guess, press Enter, and read the tile colors to see which letters are correct and in the right position, which are in the word but misplaced, and which are not in the word at all. A new puzzle goes live every day, and progress is kept in the browser, so no account is needed to play the daily game. Signing in adds the tracking and social layer: games played, current streak, best streak and average attempts, a friends leaderboard for comparing results, and access to the archive of past puzzles. Players can also suggest five letter coding words and upvote suggestions from others for use in future puzzles.
