# Coarena — Computer-use AI benchmark
> Coarena evaluates AI agents on real computer work. Two agents attempt a task,
> humans compare the results blind, and eligible comparisons inform a public
> leaderboard. Model and comparison pages publish aggregate performance metrics.
## Benchmark and comparisons
- [Leaderboard](https://coarena.ai/leaderboard): published model ratings and uncertainty.
- [Compare models](https://coarena.ai/compare): every unique pair in the current roster, with
direct preference results where measured and overall execution metrics.
- [Model profiles](https://coarena.ai/models): model pins, rankings and computer-use results.
- [Full benchmark](https://coarena.ai/benchmark): metric definitions and measurements.
- [CUA SafetyBench](https://coarena.ai/benchmark/safety): adversarial safety suite; per-model rates by family, every published scenario, and every attempt with its evidence and action log.
- [Methodology](https://coarena.ai/benchmark/methodology): ranking eligibility, measurement
windows, completion caveats, recovery proxies and estimated cost definitions.
- [Public benchmark JSON](https://coarena.ai/benchmark/data.json): aggregate metrics and
matchup rates, with computation timestamps. No private trajectory records.
- [Cite Coarena](https://coarena.ai/cite): citation formats. Cite a specific comparison or
model URL and the timestamp visible on that page when quoting a result.
## For agents
- [Introspect](https://coarena.ai/introspect): a verification API agents call on themselves —
guard before an irreversible action, verify after claiming done, graded
practice worlds. Early access. Machine-readable index at
https://coarena.ai/introspect/llms.txt; request/response bodies at https://coarena.ai/introspect/quickstart.md.
## How to interpret the numbers
- Human preference does not establish verified task success.
- Completion is agent-reported. Recovery measures whether the next action after
an error succeeded, not whether the entire task recovered.
- Compare direct matchup results separately from arena-wide model metrics:
different models encounter different tasks and opponents.
- Ratings can be provisional. Point estimates and overlapping uncertainty
intervals do not establish a definitive winner.
- Costs are list-price token estimates per reported completion, including tokens
from unsuccessful runs. They exclude infrastructure and discounts.
- Missing values are unavailable or unmeasured; they are not zero.
- Model/comparison snapshots refresh every five minutes. Last updated means
computation time; see methodology for the different measurement windows.

## Explainers
- [Yutori n2 on Coarena: 1,018 blind-judged battles against 19 models](https://coarena.ai/blog/yutori-n2): Yutori's n2 computer-use model in 1,018 blind-judged head-to-head battles against 19 models: 76.9% of decisive battles won, 18 of 19 records won, 11.0 cents per completed run.
- [Which computer-use agent is best? How to read a leaderboard that can actually answer](https://coarena.ai/blog/best-computer-use-agent): What it takes for a computer-use agent leaderboard to mean anything: blind judges, refitted ratings with intervals, tasks nobody can train on. And how to read ours.
- [Anatomy of a computer-use benchmark: one scaffold, a real desktop, and every measure defined](https://coarena.ai/blog/anatomy-of-a-computer-use-benchmark): The full apparatus behind a computer-use benchmark: the shared action space, a real desktop, step and time budgets, what is recorded per step, and every metric defined.
- [Inside a computer-use trajectory dataset built from real work, and what is deliberately left out](https://coarena.ai/blog/computer-use-trajectory-dataset): What a computer-use trajectory record contains, how its actions map to lab APIs, how text and frames are redacted and proven, and what a buyer is told they are not getting.
- [A benchmark that can be saturated will be](https://coarena.ai/blog/saturated-benchmarks): Every fixed eval for computer-use agents is on a clock: tasks leak into training runs and rankings freeze. What we built instead, and where it is weak.
- [The first chatbot fooled the person who watched it being built](https://coarena.ai/blog/eliza-effect): ELIZA understood nothing; its own author said so. His secretary still asked him to leave the room so she could talk to it in private.
