## FAQ
### How can it be free?
Freebuff is supported by text ads.
### What models do you use?
Freebuff offers a curated choice of leading models. In full mode, the regular picker includes:
- MiMo 2.6 Flash: Balanced.
- GLM 5.3 Flash: Deep reasoning.
- DeepSeek V4.1 Flash: Smart & Fast. May use data for AI training.
- DeepSeek V4.1 Flash Fast: Parallel agents. May use data for AI training.
- GPT-6 Luna: Strong all-around.
- MiMo 2.6 Pro: Strong reasoning.
- Solar Mini 4: Fast and light. May use data for AI training.
- Solar Pro 4: Upstage flagship. May use data for AI training.
- Gemini 3.8 Flash: 1M context.
- Muse Spark 1.3: Falls back when busy. May use data for AI training.
- Gemini 4 Argon: Google flagship.
- GPT-6.1 Sol: OpenAI flagship.
MiMo 2.6 Flash is the default on CLI, Desktop, Web, and Cloud. Available models depend on your app and access level; check your model picker for the current selection.
Referrals earn rewards. Where your app shows Freebucks, eligible rewards can be converted into wallet Freebucks; session-based apps show earned sessions. Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite handles specialist tasks such as file finding and research.
### Which countries is Freebuff available in?
All countries. Freebuff runs in "full" or "limited" mode, and your free daily Freebucks depend on where you are. Full access covers US, CA, GB, AU, NZ, IE, NO, SE, DK, FI, NL, AT, LU, IS, DE, FR, ES, IT, PT, BE, CH, LI, MT and KR. Anywhere else, or over a VPN, Freebuff still works in limited mode. Your account settings show your own daily allowance.
### What is limited mode?
Limited mode lets you use Freebuff outside the full-access countries, or while using a VPN. Where your app shows Freebucks, the free limited-access allowance is 25 Freebucks a day, or 20 on a VPN or proxy, because we lose money on every VPN user. Limited-access subscriptions include 105 a day on Starter, 200 on Plus, or 350 on Pro, plus a monthly bonus. Check your picker for available models and prices.
Where your app shows session allowances instead, limited mode includes MiMo 2.6 Flash and GLM 5.3 Flash and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and Solar Mini 4 and Solar Pro 4, with 6 one-hour sessions per day.
### How do Freebucks work?
Where your app shows a Freebucks balance, Freebucks buy one-hour model sessions. What a free account receives each day depends on where you are. Your account settings show your own daily allowance.
Daily Freebucks refill at midnight in your local timezone and unused daily Freebucks do not carry over. A subscription replaces that daily allowance with the plan's daily total and adds monthly bonus Freebucks to your wallet. Your wallet covers the part of a session today's allowance cannot cover. Any unused monthly bonus is replaced when the next month’s bonus is credited, so it does not add up across months. An upgrade keeps your current bonus and adds the new plan’s. Ending your subscription does not expire an existing bonus. Model prices and usage limits still apply. Check the plans page for the allowances available to your account.
### Does Freebuff collect my data?
Freebuff collects prompts, messages, code, files, repository data, and agent traces when you use features that need them. Depending on the model or feature, AI model providers may also process that data. See the Privacy Policy for the uses and limits that apply.
### What else is cool in Freebuff?
Freebuff comes with 9 specialized subagents:
- file-picker finds relevant files across your codebase
- code-reviewer gives critical feedback on your changes
- browser-use lets the AI control a real browser to test your app
- thinker does deep reasoning
- and more.
After every response, it generates 3 clickable follow-up suggestions so you always know what to do next.
For big tasks, try the commands /interview → /plan → (implement) → /review to go from idea to polished code.
