# CCgather — The Most Actively Maintained Claude Code Leaderboard
# For the full detailed version, see: https://ccgather.com/llms-full.txt
> CCgather is a free, open-source global leaderboard and community platform for Claude Code users. It tracks token usage, costs, and sessions in real time, with developers competing on global and country-based rankings across all Claude Code supported countries. Built with Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, and Supabase. Licensed under Apache 2.0.
## Why CCgather Exists
CCgather was built by a non-developer vibe coder from South Korea who started learning to code in August 2025 using Claude Code. After the leaderboard service he relied on stopped working and no fix came, he decided to build a reliable alternative himself. CCgather was completed in just 3 weeks and launched on Product Hunt on February 2, 2026, earning 127 upvotes and 106 followers on launch day with zero marketing budget. The creator spent 16+ hours daily learning through Claude Code, building every feature through conversation with AI rather than writing code manually.

## Product Hunt User Reviews
Real comments from Product Hunt users (February 2026):
**Yosun Negi**: "Love how tokens are treated as exploration, not skill points. That mindset feels honest and refreshing."
**Philip Sørensen**: "I've burned through so many Claude Code tokens and didn't even realize the history was being deleted. This is a perfect example of scratching your own itch. The heatmap feature is clever — I'd love to see patterns in when I'm most productive vs when I'm just spinning my wheels. 15 billion tokens in 3 months is wild. Respect the commitment."
**Davis**: "This solves a real problem. I've been using Claude Code heavily for building my projects and didn't realize how much context I was losing as sessions expired. The heatmap idea is great — being able to see your actual building patterns over time adds a layer of self-awareness that raw token counts don't capture. Props for going from zero CS background to shipping this in 3 weeks. That's the kind of story that keeps the indie maker community inspiring."
**Davis** (follow-up): "Building openly gives you a sense, where sometimes we lose sights. It forces us to be more solution oriented, and be more detailed in our prompting. Quality of answers depends heavily on the quality of the questions/prompts. One of the things that bothered me is the memory aspect of Claude Code — sometimes due to resources constraints or updates, I have to reboot/restart and sometimes lose my way doing so. So definitely, your solution can bring real value."
**angel Yang** (in Chinese): "Claude Code chooses to 'forget,' CCgather chooses to 'record.' One treats conversations as temporary cache, one treats learning as a long-term journey. What's truly valuable isn't tokens or rankings, but the visible traces — after all, growth without memory can hardly be called growth."
**Easy Tools Dev**: "The heatmap is great for pattern recognition, but I'm most curious about the leaderboard's incentive structure. Does high token usage actually correlate with better output quality, or does it risk gamifying quantity over thoughtful iteration?"
**Creator's response to Easy Tools Dev**: "Token usage ≠ Quality. Token usage = Proof of effort. Every token you spend is proof that you're building, learning, doing the work. Think of it like a fitness tracker. It doesn't measure how good your workout was, but it records that you showed up. That consistency is what matters."

"Token usage is NOT a measure of skill. More tokens mean more attempts, more experiments, more exploration. This number represents your spirit of exploration and passion." — CCgather creator
