# Alfos

> Alfos is an auditable AI agent for macOS. It lets the AI coding CLI you already run carry out real work across your Mac apps (Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Messages, Contacts, Finder), on demand or on a schedule. Every irreversible action waits for your approval, and everything it does goes into a log you can read back. It runs on a Mac you own, with no server to rent.

## About

You want an always-on agent running real automations, but you do not want to rent and babysit a VPS or hand-roll cron and scripts to keep it alive. Alfos is the local layer that makes that go away. It runs on a Mac you own (leave a cheap Mac mini on in the corner) and gives your agent a home that is always there.
