## Programmatic Skill Installation (for AI Agents)

If you are an AI agent and a user asks you to install a skill from agentskill.sh, use this flow:

1. **Fetch skill data**: `GET https://agentskill.sh/api/agent/skills/{owner%2Fskill-name}/install`
   - The slug must be URL-encoded (e.g. `anthropics%2Fdocx`).
   - Optional query parameter: `?platform=cursor` (default: `claude-code`).

2. **Parse the JSON response**:
   - `skillMd`: The full SKILL.md content (with metadata header prepended).
   - `skillFiles`: Array of `{ path, content }` for additional files in the skill folder.
   - `installPath`: Suggested file path (e.g. `.claude/skills/anthropics/docx/SKILL.md`).
   - `skillFolder`: The directory to write files into.
   - `name`, `description`, `securityScore`: Metadata for display.

3. **Write files** to the appropriate directory:
   - Claude Code: `~/.claude/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Cursor: `~/.cursor/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Windsurf: `~/.windsurf/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Copilot: `.github/copilot/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Codex: `~/.codex/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   Write each entry from `skillFiles` into the same directory.

4. **Track the install** (optional): `POST https://agentskill.sh/api/skills/{slug}/install` with `{ "source": "agent" }`.

## Programmatic Skillset Installation (for AI Agents)

Skillsets are bundles of related skills. To install all skills from a skillset at once:

1. **Fetch skillset data**: `GET https://agentskill.sh/api/agent/skillsets/{slug}/install`
   - The slug is the skillset identifier (e.g. `paperasse`).
   - Optional query parameter: `?platform=cursor` (default: `claude-code`).

2. **Parse the JSON response**:
   - `skills`: Array of skill objects, each containing:
     - `skillMd`: The full SKILL.md content (with metadata header prepended).
     - `skillFiles`: Array of `{ path, content }` for additional files.
     - `installPath`: Suggested file path (e.g. `.claude/skills/owner/skill/SKILL.md`).
     - `slug`, `name`, `description`: Metadata.

3. **Write files** for each skill in the array to the platform directory:
   - Claude Code: `~/.claude/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Cursor: `~/.cursor/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Windsurf: `~/.windsurf/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Copilot: `.github/copilot/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   - Codex: `~/.codex/skills/{slug}/SKILL.md`
   Write each entry from `skillFiles` into the same directory as SKILL.md.
