# AgentCard

> AgentCard lets AI agents pay for things securely with the card their user
> already has — Mastercard holders through Mastercard Agent Pay, any other card

> dedicated agent email inbox and a Base USDC wallet for x402 payments. Built

There is no waitlist and no approval queue. Anyone can sign up and have their
agent paying the same day.

New direct accounts complete a one-time identity check (`agentcard identity`)
before their first purchase. This is a regulatory requirement for card payments
and is the only step that is not instant.

## Key facts

- Cost: free to sign up. No subscription. You pay only for what your agent buys.
- Mastercard holders: Mastercard Agent Pay is the default. Each purchase gets a
  network token scoped to the merchant and amount, approved with a passkey, and
  the merchant charges the Mastercard directly.
- Any other card: a one-time card number capped at the purchase amount (max
  $150), live for 7 days, backed by a hold on the saved card — you are only
  charged for what a merchant captures.
- Account-level default limit: $100 per payment path (`agentcard limit`).
- Daily ceiling: $200 per UTC day for normal direct accounts.
- Works with any agent that can run a shell command or make an HTTP request,
  including Claude, Cursor, Codex, Devin, and Copilot.
