# Ultramock
> Turn app, website and SaaS screens into polished images and motion for launches, marketing, websites and portfolios.
Ultramock turns a screenshot, design or screen recording into a finished
product visual. It runs entirely in the browser on WebGL — there is nothing
to install and no account is required to start. Renders use detailed 3D device
models in custom 3D scenes, with camera control, depth of field, bloom, grain
and other effects applied live. Free includes watermarked image output and
720p 30fps landscape video within a shared export allowance. Pro adds
higher-resolution output and transparent image and video options.
The core creative editor is free to use, with basic 3D models, a limited
number of captures and a watermark. Pro adds unlimited watermark-free
captures, premium 3D models, custom 3D scenes, the full asset library, cloud
projects and MCP control.

## Comparisons
Feature-by-feature comparisons with other mockup tools, indexed at
https://www.ultramock.io/compare. Each one states where the other tool is the better
choice, and carries the date its competitor column was last checked.
- [Ultramock vs After Effects](https://www.ultramock.io/compare/ultramock-vs-after-effects): After Effects is an extraordinarily powerful motion graphics editor, and that is the problem here rather than the recommendation. Its 3D comes from Cinema 4D — the bundled renderer for simple extrusions, and Maxon's own application for anything resembling a real device — so "make a 3D mockup in After Effects" is in practice two professional applications to learn and two subscriptions to hold, on top of a plugin or a template pack for the device itself. Ultramock does that one job: the phone is already modelled, lit and rigged, you drop a screenshot on it, pose the camera, keyframe the move and export an MP4, in a browser tab, for $20 a month. If motion design is your profession, After Effects is your tool and nothing here changes that. If you just need your product on a device, moving, it is an enormous amount of machinery to carry for one shot.
- [Ultramock vs Shots.so](https://www.ultramock.io/compare/ultramock-vs-shots-so): Both make device mockups in the browser, and they aim at different jobs. Shots.so is built for speed: pick a frame, pick a background, download a good-looking screenshot in under a minute. Ultramock is built for control: it renders your screen inside real 3D device geometry in a lit environment, with image-based lighting, cast shadows, depth of field and film grain computed live in WebGL, and it can keyframe a camera move and export it as MP4 video. If you want one good screenshot fast, Shots.so is the shorter path. If you want a shot that looks photographed, or a launch clip rather than a still, Ultramock is the one that goes that far.
- [Ultramock vs Rotato](https://www.ultramock.io/compare/ultramock-vs-rotato): Both tools render device mockups in 3D, but they are shaped around different workflows. Rotato is a mature mockup specialist with a native Mac app, a separate web version, 30+ device models, ready-made animation templates and professional video formats. Ultramock keeps the workflow in the browser and centres it on premium product visuals, with live lighting, effects, keyframed motion and high-resolution image and video exports. Choose Rotato when its wider catalogue, offline Mac workflow or ProRes output matters. Choose Ultramock when you want the more realistic result shown in the supplied comparison, a focused browser workflow and detailed creative control around the product itself.
