# SmoothCapture
> SmoothCapture is a native macOS app that combines a Screen Studio-style screen recorder with Rotato-style 3D device mockups. It records Mac screens, app windows, iPhone and iPad devices over USB, and iOS Simulator sessions, polishes them with auto zoom, a smooth cursor and captions, then films them on real 3D iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch models with one-click camera moves. Animated titles and a built-in motion-graphics library sit on the same timeline, and a built-in MCP server lets AI agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor edit the open project. Recording and editing are free; exporting needs a license, from $49 once or $10/month.
SmoothCapture helps developers, founders, and product teams create app demo videos, 3D mockup videos, launch films, tutorials, and App Store preview videos. It combines capture, a multi-clip timeline, smart auto-zooms, smooth cursor effects, captions and text animations, audio mixing and AI narration, 2D frames and real 3D device models with motion templates, keyframed camera shots, studio HDR lighting, lid and fold animation and nested devices, and export presets (MP4, MOV, GIF, transparent ProRes 4444) in one Mac app.

## Agent control
SmoothCapture has a built-in MCP server (run the app binary with the argument `mcp`) and a JSON-output CLI. Agents can record, edit the open timeline, add titles, graphics and 3D camera shots, sync to music, generate narration, preview frames, and export.
