## Where things stand

- **Is claude-fable-5 back?** Yes. Anthropic suspended it on June 12, 2026, reportedly after a US Commerce Department export-control directive. FableWatch's monitor confirmed it answering again on July 1, 2026 at 7:29 PM ET.
- **Fable 5.1** shipped on September 1, 2026, alongside Mythos 5.1, as claude-fable-5-1. List price unchanged at $10 per million input and $50 per million output tokens.
- **What FableWatch watches now:** the next Mythos-class model (Fable 6, or a 5.2). The moment a new state-of-the-art model is live, subscribers are alerted.
- **Plan access (per Anthropic's help center):** since July 20, Max plans and premium Team/Enterprise seats include Fable 5 and 5.1 for up to 50% of weekly usage limits; Pro and standard seats use usage credits at API rates.
