# ExtraBar
> ExtraBar is a customizable macOS menu bar app for power users. It adds custom actions, deep links, and app-specific shortcuts to your Mac menu bar — a modern alternative to Bartender, Thaw, and other traditional menu bar managers. Works on macOS 12.4+ including macOS 26 (Tahoe), with no special permissions required.
ExtraBar lets you build your own menu bar around the apps and workflows you actually use. Instead of only hiding existing icons (what menu bar managers do), ExtraBar lets you create new one-click actions: open apps, jump straight into Zoom meetings or Slack channels via deep links, run shell scripts, trigger macOS Shortcuts, make API calls, and more. It ships with 36+ app presets, 16 action types, and two display modes (a floating bar or inline in the native menu bar), plus a notch mode. ExtraBar works entirely offline — no analytics, no telemetry, no data collection; your configuration stays on your Mac. Purchases completed before 1 September 2026 at 00:00 Europe/Sofia time (EEST, UTC+3) retain lifetime updates. Purchases completed at or after that cutoff receive a permanent license with one year of updates, and covered versions keep working forever. Purchases have a 14-day money-back guarantee.
