# EffectHub
> Catalog of AI tools with an independently tracked liveness status.
> 3,312 published tools, each with a last-checked date.
EffectHub catalogs AI tools and records, for every published entry, whether the
product is still alive. Each tool page carries a status (active, suspected dead,
dead, acquired), the date of the last check, the pricing model and entry price
where a public price exists, the platforms it runs on, and whether it exposes a
public API. Entries stay in the catalog after they die instead of being deleted,
so a discontinued tool remains answerable rather than silently disappearing.
The catalog also records aggregate engagement — outbound clicks and saves per
tool. Rankings and placement are editorial; affiliate status does not buy
position.
Ratings are shown only when real user ratings exist, never as a synthetic score.

## How entries are made
- Cards are written and maintained by EffectHub Research, our own editorial
process. Descriptions are written from the vendor's own material; we take
facts from other catalogs, never their copy.
- Paid placement never moves an organic position. Paid slots exist and are
labelled as such wherever they appear.
- A listing is published only after it clears a completeness gate; entries
below the bar stay unpublished rather than being padded out.
- Liveness is re-checked on a schedule, and every card carries the date of
its last check. Dead and acquired products stay in the catalog, labelled.

- A bundle adds what its card lists (a mark on the card and the first spot in Just launched, a launch story on the blog, hand submissions to directories we have checked, banners for a week); the submission is reviewed by a person first and paid for by email after.
- A person reviews every submission; a rejection always states the reason.
- Links from listings to makers' sites carry rel="nofollow sponsored". Rank, scores and verification are not for sale.
