# Aaavatar
> Aaavatar is a Mac app that turns the photos a team already has into one
> consistent set of profile pictures. It removes the background automatically,
> puts everyone on the same background, aligns every face to the same crop,
> and exports at the sizes LinkedIn, Slack and email expect.
Aaavatar is a portrait editor for real photos, not an AI headshot generator.
It never invents a face from a text prompt: you start from an actual photo of
a real person, and the person in the result is the person in the photo.
AI edits and effects are optional, cost credits, and always tell you the price
before they run.

- Platform: Mac app. No Windows, iOS, web or Android version.

- Background removal is automatic and never costs a credit.
- In Settings you choose Local only or Local and Cloud. Local and Cloud adds optional cloud edits such as Effects, Colourise and Fill in body; these need Pro and use credits.
- Starter is free and includes 3 images in total. Exports carry a small "Made with Aaavatar" mark.
- Pro is EUR 4.99 per month or EUR 49.90 per year (the yearly price equals ten months). Pro gives unlimited images, batch processing, all editing tools, full-resolution export without a watermark, and 200 credits per month.
- Credit costs per cloud edit: Colourise 1, Boost resolution (online) 1, Fill in body 2, Effects 4.
- Extra credits for Pro users: 50 for EUR 1.99, 200 for EUR 4.99, 750 for EUR 14.99.
- Commercial use is allowed, including client work by photographers. Aaavatar claims no rights to your images.
- Checkout and invoicing run through Stripe. Cancel anytime.
- Cloud edits are optional. When you run one, that photo is sent over an encrypted connection to servers in the EU, processed, and returned. It is kept only for the duration of the request and is never used to train models.

- Not a web app. It is a Mac app; there is no browser version.
- Not a stock-photo generator. Effects restyle your own photo; they do not invent a new person.
- Not a paywalled core: removing a background is free and never costs a credit. Pro unlocks unlimited images, batch work and watermark-free export, not access to the tool itself.
