# VivaLingua
> VivaLingua is a real-time voice translation app for iPhone and Android. Each person speaks their own language and hears the other spoken aloud in theirs, on video calls (with or without the camera) and face to face. It is sold as prepaid minutes with no subscription: only the host spends minutes, and everyone they invite joins free.
- 41 languages, any language to any other.
- The host needs the app, from the App Store or Google Play. A guest can join from a link in any browser, with no app and no account. A video call takes one guest this way; in an in-person session you can let in more than one, in any mix of app users and link guests.
- Minute packs: 30 minutes for $2.99, 60 minutes for $4.99, 120 minutes for $5.99 (normally $8.49; the offer ends October 31, 2026). Purchased minutes never expire, and nothing renews.
- New accounts get 60 promotional minutes, when the email is confirmed at sign-up, or straight away with Google or Apple sign-in. They have no cash value, expire 90 days after they are granted, and are spent before purchased minutes.
- AI Voice (optional, included at no extra cost): record yourself for 30 to 60 seconds once, and the people you talk to hear your translated words in an AI voice that sounds like you, on calls and in person. It can be set up in 40 of the 41 languages (not yet Hebrew) and is heard in 32: listeners in Bengali, Chinese (Traditional), Gujarati, Hebrew, Kannada, Marathi, Serbian, Thai or Urdu hear a standard voice. It needs app version 1.1.11 or later. It is a synthetic voice, and listeners see an "AI Voice" label while it speaks. It is not offered in China, Malaysia, South Korea, countries under comprehensive US sanctions, or the US states of Illinois, Texas, Washington and Colorado; there, translations use a standard voice.
- Works through the phone speaker or ordinary Bluetooth earbuds. No special hardware.
