## Problem Solved
When users share an entire ultrawide monitor (e.g. 49-inch 5120x1440) in video calls, content appears too small for viewers on standard displays. Users constantly hear "can you zoom in?" and must stop/restart sharing to switch between windows. RegionMirror eliminates both problems.
## How It Works
1. Choose "Share Region" from the menu bar, Dock, or a global keyboard shortcut
2. Draw a region on the selected monitor (or start instantly with a saved preset)
3. The region appears live in a normal macOS window titled "RegionMirror (Share this window!)" with a blue frame
4. In the collaboration tool (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Discord, or any tool with window sharing), share the RegionMirror window
5. Drag application windows in and out of the region while presenting; resize or move the region at any time without stopping the share
## Core Features
### Region Sharing
Draw a custom rectangular area on any monitor and share it at the size you choose. Resize and reposition the shared region during active sharing without interrupting the session.
### Multi-Display Support
Choose which connected display to share from. Works with any number of monitors.
### Region Presets
Save up to 10 named region presets, each tied to a display. Pick a preset from the menu or press its shortcut to restore that region instantly—no region selector needed. Switch between presets even while sharing, without interrupting the session. Presets can be renamed, updated, or deleted from the menu or Settings. Legacy per-monitor default regions migrate to presets automatically.
### Global Keyboard Shortcuts
Give each preset its own customizable global hotkey (default: ⌃⌥⇧+1, ⌃⌥⇧+2, etc.) to start sharing instantly from any application. No Accessibility permission required.
### Presenter View
A scaled-down live preview of the shared region, positioned for the presenter's reference while the main mirror window stays off-screen.
### Privacy Protection (Blur)
Instantly blur the shared screen when entering sensitive information. One-click toggle.
### Annotations
Arrow and text annotations that are moveable, resizable, and visible to viewers. Works consistently across all platforms.
### Integrated Whiteboard
Drawing tools with pen and text. All elements are editable after creation.

|----------|-----------|----------------------|
| Share entire screen | Too small on ultrawide for viewers | Share only the relevant portion at a readable size |
| Share individual window | Must stop/restart when switching apps | Drag windows in/out of shared region seamlessly |
| Change resolution before sharing | Requires prep time, reorganizes windows | No resolution change needed, instant setup |
| OBS virtual camera | Complex setup, resource-heavy | Lightweight, purpose-built, no configuration |
