Which Squarespace template or version is this site using?
Every Squarespace page carries a block of site settings in its source, and two of them answer this question: the template ID and the template version. A 7.0 site's template ID names its template family, such as Brine or Bedford. We've matched the IDs against each 7.0 template's own demo site, so we can name the family and the templates in it.
Squarespace 7.1, the version every new site has used since 2020, works differently. All 7.1 sites share one template, and the design a site started from is only a starting layout that leaves nothing behind once it's built. So for 7.1 we say so plainly rather than guess, and tell you what we can see instead, like whether the site uses Fluid Engine, the drag-and-drop layout editor.
Limits: templates in one 7.0 family share code and settings, so the ID tells us the family but not which member the site started from. Brine alone has over 30 members. Other detectors that name a single 7.1 template are guessing.
Paste the site's address into the box above. We read the template ID and version from the site's settings in its page source and, for a 7.0 site, name the template family.
Squarespace 7.1 doesn't have per-site templates. Every 7.1 site runs on the same one, and the template you pick when you start is just a starting layout. Once it's built, nothing in the site records which one it was.
In Squarespace 7.0, templates that share the same code and style settings form a family, such as Brine, Bedford or Pacific. Sites in one family can look very different, but they have the same features.
Run it through the detector. The version is in the site's own settings, so the answer is certain.
Yes. There's no sign-up and no limit on lookups.
