Framer names every layer on a page with a short class like framer-1x2y3z, and those names stay the same when someone remixes a template. Change the copy, the colours, the images and the domain, and most of the layer names are still the template's. We've indexed the homepages of the templates on the Framer Marketplace, and we match the site's layer names against them.
A site rarely keeps every layer, so we score the share of its layers found in each template, counting a layer that's in only one template more than one many templates share. The best match has to clear a threshold and beat the next best clearly. When a site still has the template's "Get this template" link, that names it outright.
Limits: a site built from scratch, or one rebuilt so far that few of the template's layers are left, shows as not built from a template we know. Templates sold outside the Framer Marketplace aren't in the index, and templates added since our last update aren't either.
Paste the site's address into the box above. We read the Framer layer names in its homepage and match them against every template in the Framer Marketplace.
Yes. The match comes from the page's structure, not the credit, so a site that removed the badge or the "Made by" link still matches.
Either it was designed from scratch, it's been changed too much to match confidently, or the template isn't sold on the Framer Marketplace. We show the closest template we found when there is one.
Yes. The result links to the template's Framer Marketplace page, where you can see the live demo, the price and the creator.
