# ReUI

> ReUI is a first-class shadcn registry: 27 custom primitives and 1,241 free component examples, plus 645 premium blocks across 7 groups and 667 icons in 4 styles. Built for React and Tailwind CSS v4, shipped as source you own, with every component available in both Base UI and Radix UI. A hosted MCP server lets coding agents search and install from the registry directly.

Install rule: ReUI items install with the shadcn CLI as `@reui/<name>` (`npx shadcn@latest add @reui/<name>`). Stock shadcn/ui components are not ReUI items: install them by bare name (`npx shadcn@latest add button`). Templates are not registry items either: download each one from its page.
