# Reassign

> A 24-hour circular daily planner for busy makers: people juggling a day job, family, and a side project. Plan your day on a dial, with midnight at the top and noon at the bottom: drag to block time (visual time blocking), protect the hour you keep losing, reshape it as plans change, or hand the whole day to an AI assistant over MCP. 7-day Pro trial, no card required.

Reassign draws your whole day as one round face instead of a list you scroll. The dial is included in Pro and it is the only surface a day is drawn on; a list and a timeline are available on Pro for reading the days ahead, and neither of those can move, resize or create a block. Colour shows which area of life a block belongs to (work, family, a side project, you); a fill pattern shows what kind of energy it takes (recharge, flow, grind, drain). Reassign syncs two-way with your calendars and task apps: Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar for meetings, and Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Linear and TickTick for tasks. Calendar events and timed tasks appear on the dial; unscheduled tasks wait in the Inbox. Titles and completion sync for linked tasks. The Integration filter narrows the Inbox to one or more task apps or shows them all, and you can group the Inbox by date, integration, or type. Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do and Linear are date-only, so their tasks land in the Inbox and you set the hour on the dial; Todoist and TickTick carry a real time, so a timed task becomes a timed block. Because the planner is also an MCP server, an assistant can read your real day and edit it with the same moves you would make by hand, while you watch each change land on the dial. MCP is an open standard, so this works with any MCP client, including Claude and ChatGPT (via Developer Mode custom connectors). The same surface is also a public REST API at https://reassign.app/api/v1 (Pro), for scripts and automation.

The Features, Pricing, MCP, Connect, Docs, Roadmap, Changelog, and Support pages, the circadian rhythm calculator, the printable 24-hour planner page, every feature page, and every Resources post, also exist as plain markdown for agents: append `.md` to the URL (e.g. https://reassign.ai/features.md, https://reassign.ai/features/focus.md, https://reassign.ai/mcp.md, https://reassign.ai/resources/planning-your-day-with-claude.md).

## Plans and access

One Pro plan includes every planner feature: $14/month or $120/year ($10/month billed yearly, $120 charged annually). Annual billing saves $48/year, about 29%, against twelve monthly payments. New accounts get 7 days with no card required and no automatic charge, one trial per person. Planner access, including MCP, the REST API, and extension captures, requires an account with an active trial or paid subscription. There is no Free plan or guest access. Data stays after access ends.

Accounts migrated from the former Free plan received a 30-day Pro trial from migration/import, not their next sign-in. Existing subscribers on $8/month or $72/year keep their price while active; a lapse ends that price. Free and planner guest mode are retired, and the referral program ends with the move. A separate, private ambassador program (discount code plus commission, terms agreed per ambassador) is open by application: https://reassign.ai/ambassadors. An internet connection is required to save changes. PWA installation and device sync remain. The printable planner and circadian rhythm calculator remain free.

## When to use Reassign

Reach for Reassign when a user wants to see or reshape a real day, not only store a task:

- Plan or replan one day: block time, move or resize a block, sweep a run of hours, or shift the rest of the day after one thing slips.
- Read what is on someone's day (events, tasks, energy, focus rhythm) before you propose changes.
- Turn a brain dump or a plain sentence into blocks. Palette plans wait for Apply; over MCP, the assistant reads free slots and creates blocks with write_events, which applies immediately by default with undo. Ask it to show you the plan before writing if you want a review.
- Break a block into an ordered checklist of microtasks, or set a focus and break rhythm.
- Work across your calendars and task apps (Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Linear, TickTick) in one planner. Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do and Linear sync due dates, while planned working hours stay in Reassign. Todoist and TickTick also sync task times. An item added to the Reassign Inbox can become a task in any of the five task apps. Microsoft To Do steps sync with an Inbox item’s microtasks as text only: ticks and order do not sync, and step syncing stops when the item moves onto the dial.

How an agent calls it:

- MCP (Pro): connect to the MCP server at https://reassign.app/api/mcp. It uses an OAuth grant, per-tool scopes (`events:read`, `events:write`), and a short undo window. It works with Claude, ChatGPT (Developer Mode), and any MCP client. Install strings: https://reassign.ai/connect.
- The MCP server has 10 tools: 9 planning tools plus `send_feedback`. Read the day with `get_schedule`; `minDuration` (whole minutes from 1 to 1440) keeps only `freeSlots` at least that long and does not filter events; for a single day (`from` equal to `to`), add `includeWeather: true` for the full forecast and `includeEnergy: true` for the energy curve. `weatherLocation` with `includeWeather: true` uses that place's local forecast date and times and labels its timezone.
- `find_event` searches events and Inbox items by name. Event hits include a name-match `score` from 0 to 1, with 1 for an exact match; Inbox hits have no score. Inbox results have up to 50 items per page, `inboxMatchedCount` for the total, and `nextInboxOffset` to pass as `inboxOffset` with the same query and filters. Use `get_schedule` to read `freeSlots`, then `write_events` with a `create` operation to book a new block. Use `manage_inbox` for Inbox writes and its `schedule` operation to place an existing item. Writes apply immediately by default with an undo token. MCP `write_events` accepts optional `dryRun: true` to check the operations without writing: valid rows return `skipped`, failures keep their usual errors, and there is no undo token. A dry run reserves no time. Show the plan, then call again without the flag to apply it and recheck conflicts. `undo_changes` can reverse a change within 30 minutes. The MCP tools `schedule_events` and `confirm_schedule` have been removed.
- REST (Pro): https://reassign.app/api/v1, with OAuth or a personal access token. OpenAPI 3.1 spec: https://reassign.app/api/v1/openapi.json. REST keeps `/backlog`, `/schedule/plan`, `/actions/undo`, `/weather`, and `/energy`. `POST /schedule/plan` immediately books an exact free time or the best free slot in a window; it returns no proposals, options, or commit tokens. `POST /schedule/confirm` is removed. Window requests accept `autoCommitBest: true` only as a deprecated compatibility field; omit it in new clients, and do not send `false`. REST `GET /schedule` keeps `backlogQuery`; MCP name search uses `find_event`. REST `GET /events/search` returns events only, each with a name-match score. `GET /schedule` also accepts `minDuration` to filter free slots. REST event writes do not accept `dryRun`.
- Successful event-write rows may return `warnings: ["classification_pending"]` when AI classification is queued and permitted. The area, activity type, or kind can change after the reply; read again when you need the latest classification. Changed occurrences carry the series recurrence and inherit its calendarId and mirrorCalendarIds unless they chose their own calendar, and their ids retain the original date after a move. `reflect` accepts past days only in the account timezone.
- MCP `send_feedback` takes `reports` (1–10 items, each with `kind` and `message`) plus optional `submissionId`. Collect the session’s reports in one call, one item per issue. REST `POST /feedback` keeps its single `kind` and `message` body. Acknowledgment emails go at most once per user per UTC day. MCP tool schemas no longer advertise `llm_model`; model capture is off.
- `write_events` create and update accept `mirrorStyles`, a map from a mirror calendar id to `full`, `private`, or `busy`. Each key must be in the event's `mirrorCalendarIds`. An update replaces the map, and `{}` clears it. Reads return `mirrorStyles` when it is set. `get_schedule` shows the default copy style of each writable event calendar; calendar defaults change only in the app.
- `manage_categories` (and REST `/categories`): a `delete` of an area or activity type that items use needs `reassignTo` (another category's id, or `null` to clear the link). Without it, the delete fails with `validation` and lists the usage and the possible targets. `get_category_usage` and `GET /api/v1/categories/usage` are removed. A duplicate name on create or rename returns `conflict`.
- Developer docs for both, with a quickstart, authentication, errors, and a reference for each route: https://reassign.dev.

Not a fit: Reassign draws one day at a time on a dial. It is not a project tracker, a team task board, or a notes app. It changes a day only when the user asks: palette plans wait for Apply, and a spoken request on the dial applies safe edits at once with one Undo (deletes and clears open for review).

- Optional block and break alerts notify you on every device where you turn them on, with per-device settings. On iPhone and iPad, Home Screen installation is required. Setup: https://reassign.ai/docs#block-and-break-alerts.

## Free tools
- [Circadian rhythm calculator](https://reassign.ai/circadian-rhythm-calculator): enter your usual sleep times and see your predicted energy curve on a 24-hour dial: morning peak, afternoon dip, evening peak, mid-sleep point, and a chronotype lean. An optional weekend split computes MSFsc (the Munich Chronotype Questionnaire's chronotype marker) and your social jet lag in hours. No signup, no wearable, computed in the browser. A population estimate (a prediction, not a measurement); the calibrated per-user version is the Pro energy layer in the app. Machine-readable: [circadian-rhythm-calculator.md](https://reassign.ai/circadian-rhythm-calculator.md).
- [Free printable 24-hour circular day planner](https://reassign.ai/circular-day-planner): a blank dial to plan a day on paper, as a two-page PDF (A4 landscape): a 24-hour dial with midnight at the top, noon at the bottom, morning down the right and evening up the left (the same orientation as the app), plus a 12-hour dial with no am/pm marks. Direct download at https://reassign.ai/downloads/reassign-24-hour-planner.pdf, no signup, no email, free to print and share. Machine-readable: [circular-day-planner.md](https://reassign.ai/circular-day-planner.md).

## Planner features included in Pro

- Draw, move, resize, select, and shift blocks on a 24-hour dial. Areas use colour; activity types use fill patterns. Print your day and sync across devices.
- List and timeline views read the days ahead. Recurring events and an unlimited planning horizon are included.
- Two-way calendar and task sync with Google Calendar, Outlook, Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Linear, and TickTick.
- MCP and REST API access, using OAuth scopes or a personal access token. API documentation: https://reassign.dev. OpenAPI 3.1 spec: https://reassign.app/api/v1/openapi.json.
- Command palette and slash commands. Quick-create text parsing runs locally; saving requires an internet connection. Ask AI is a chat about your plan in the palette: it answers questions, proposes editable plans that you apply, reads attached photos and PDFs (up to 3 files), and takes voice dictation. Talk to your day from the dial by voice. The Inbox quick-add bar turns a typed or spoken list into up to 10 items to schedule when there is room. Each item gets a title. Notes and length estimates are optional; a planned day needs a day in the input, and microtasks need listed steps or things within an item.
- Microtasks on any block: write, tick, draft with AI, and send unfinished steps to the Inbox. Repeating blocks share the checklist and keep ticks per occurrence.
- Focus intervals and focus mode, with account-saved rhythms, live progress, focus/break bells, and an optional metronome. Pause and Continue any block; a pause draws as a break and moves the later intervals. No skip control.
- Weather, mood, moment tracking, and the calibrated energy curve.
- Reflection and Time Insights read planned versus lived days, including microtask follow-through.
- No streaks, badges, or guilt counters. The Inbox groups overdue blocks without a penalty score.
- Chrome extension: today's dial on a new tab and capture from the toolbar, context menu, or address bar. The capture popup sends the selected text, and `/park` in the address bar sends a typed note, to AI, which can make several Inbox items from it. Installation is free; opening your plan and saving require an account with trial or paid access.
