# Pine Computer
> A cloud computer with AI built in. Hand it a job, and get the finished work back.
Pine Computer is a cloud computer built for AI, made by Pine AI. Developers give it a job through an API; it works across a browser, a shell and files, a person can watch it and take the controls, and the finished work comes back. It is in private beta.
Pine Computer (pinecomputer.io) is unrelated to PINE64 and its single-board computers. On X it is @pine_computer (https://x.com/pine_computer). It is invite-only while in beta.
What it does:
- A cloud computer for AI agents, made on demand through an API
- A browser, a shell and files on each computer
- Pine's built-in agent, or your own agent through the SDK
- A live view in your product, where a person can watch and take the controls
- Sign-ins saved per computer, so it stays signed in between jobs
- As many computers as the work needs, side by side
- Runs from the region the job needs
- Each computer sealed off on its own; your keys stay on your server

## Use cases
- [All use cases](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/): what products and teams hand Pine Computer. The use cases are examples.
- [Renew permits](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/renew-permits/): Your customer clicks Renew once, and every permit due this quarter is renewed on its own city’s portal.
- [Check insurance coverage](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/check-insurance-coverage/): By morning, the front desk knows each patient’s copay, and whether the plan still covers the visit.
- [Post supplier invoices](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/post-supplier-invoices/): Your payables software pulls each invoice off the supplier’s portal and matches every line to the purchase order.
- [File government forms](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/file-government-forms/): Annual reports reach the state filled in from your records, and only after your customer approves them.
- [Onboard a vendor](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/onboard-a-vendor/): Your product registers your customer on a new buyer’s supplier portal, and stops for them at the terms.
- [Track shipments](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/track-shipments/): A held parcel or a missed delivery shows on its order before the customer writes in to ask.
- [Research a market](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/market-research-report/): An analyst names a market and gets a report that ties every figure to its source.
- [Track competitors weekly](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/competitive-intelligence/): Every Monday, your users read what each competitor changed on its pricing page and in its release notes.
- [Vet a company](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/company-due-diligence/): The deal team’s memo shows where the seller’s files and the public record disagree, and cites both.
- [Compare technical approaches](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/technical-research/): Every library on the shortlist is installed and run, so the report compares what the code does.
- [Write a daily briefing](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/daily-briefing/): Each team’s briefing is ready before they arrive, and an editor picks which paid stories go in.
- [Fill PDF forms](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/fill-pdf-forms/): Each client’s row on the broker’s sheet becomes a filled copy of the insurer’s current PDF form.
- [Extract statement tables](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/extract-statement-tables/): The bookkeeper gets the quarter’s bank and broker statements as one workbook, every figure traced to its page.
- [Build a research deck](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/build-a-research-deck/): Every slide in the finished deck names the report or web page its figure came from.
- [Reconcile records](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/reconcile-records/): Each marketplace’s payout is taken apart order by order, and every difference goes in one spreadsheet.
- [Cancel a subscription](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/cancel-a-subscription/): Every “before you go” offer is noted, and the plan is still cancelled before it renews.
- [Book an appointment](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/book-an-appointment/): Asked for a check-up before ten, your assistant books the first open slot the person agrees to.
- [Compare and buy](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/compare-and-buy/): Your assistant finds the cheapest place to buy it, delivery included, and places the order when the person says yes.
- [Resolve a support request](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/resolve-a-support-request/): A damaged order is replaced and its delivery charge refunded once a team lead approves.
- [Enrich leads](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/research-and-enrich-leads/): Badges scanned at a trade show become complete CRM rows before anyone picks up the phone.
- [Update marketplace listings](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/update-marketplace-listings/): Nobody on your user’s team has to retype the spring range into each seller portal.
- [Monitor competitor prices](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/monitor-competitor-prices/): By six each morning, the price sheet shows what every rival charges for the same products.
- [Draft content from research](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/content-from-research/): A writer approves the sources first, then gets a draft guide in Word with each claim cited.
- [Test a web app](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/test-a-web-app/): Your users write test steps in plain English, and each run follows them in a real browser and screenshots every step.
- [Reproduce a bug](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/reproduce-a-bug/): Every new bug report is tried in a clean browser before an engineer opens the ticket.
- [Review a release](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/check-a-release/): The release review starts with a pass or fail for every critical path, walked through on staging.

- [Use cases for engineering and QA](https://pinecomputer.io/use-cases/?for=engineering): Every bug report can be tried in a clean browser before an engineer has to.
## Blog
- [Cookbook 08: A computer for every client](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-a-computer-for-every-client/): Five clients' books close on the same day, each on a computer of its own, so one client's records never reach another's.
- [Cookbook 07: Skill — It tries, learns, applies.](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-skill-it-tries-learns-applies/): It does a job once and writes down how. Once you've read that and switched it on, the next run follows it.
- [Cookbook 03: Browser, shell and files](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-browser-shell-and-files/): The same computer has a shell and files: it exports reports from a portal, checks them in its shell and hands back a zip.
- [Cookbook 06: Computer in a new country](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-computer-in-a-new-country/): Some sites answer only their own country. Change one word, and the computer runs there.
- [Cookbook 02: Give it a goal](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-give-it-a-goal/): Hand the computer a goal in plain words, follow its notes while it works, and read its answer.
- [Cookbook 01: Hello, Computer](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-hello-computer/): Three calls make a computer in the cloud, open a browser on it and load a page.
- [Cookbook 04: Sign in once. Stay signed in.](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-sign-in-once-stay-signed-in/): Sign in once, stop the computer, and come back later: the same computer is still signed in.
- [Cookbook 05: Your users stay in control](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/cookbook-users-stay-in-control/): The AI does the errand up to the line you set, and the person does the last step.
- [Screw Agents, Workflows, Context, Skills, and Connectors](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/screw-agents-workflows-context-skills-and-connectors/): Nobody should have to care about any of that. Say what you want and get it done, on a computer built for AI.
- [Introducing Pine Computer: A Computer Built for AI](https://pinecomputer.io/blog/introducing-pine-computer/): We changed the computer. Lower model costs and more task progress on SaaS-Bench v1.1.
