# Node Health

> iOS app for tracking lab results and biomarkers, with a broad range of clinically sourced reference ranges tailored to age, sex, and life stage. Users can also customize individual reference ranges to fit their needs. Local-first storage; no tracking.

## What it does

Node Health digitalizes blood and urine lab reports. Users add results manually, scan PDFs, or photograph reports. The app shows each value against personalized reference ranges and tracks trends over time. Designed for people who want to proactively understand and optimize their biomarkers.

## Reference ranges

Reference ranges come from established clinical sources (major European and US-based research institutes). They are personalized based on:

- Age
- Sex
- Height
- Life stage (e.g. pre/postmenopause)

Each biomarker has two ranges:

- **Standard**: average values from a general population in Western Europe — being in this range is considered healthy.
- **Optimal**: based on emerging research and wellness-focused studies — levels associated with positive health outcomes (a guideline, not a clinical threshold).

Users on Node Health Plus can customize individual biomarker reference ranges to better match their lab or personal situation.

## Coverage

Over 250 biomarkers across blood, urine, and body composition. Examples: glucose, HbA1c, lipids, vitamins (D, B12), minerals (iron, ferritin, magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium), hormones (TSH, testosterone, free testosterone), inflammation (CRP), kidney/liver markers, body fat %, visceral fat.
