# Image to Layers
> Image to Layers is an online AI toolkit that separates a flat JPG, PNG, or WebP into aligned editable RGBA layers for download as transparent PNG files, a ZIP archive, or a layered PSD. Users upload one image, choose a workflow and supported output, review the generated result, and download it from the browser. Layer splitting offers Flash or Pro at 1K, 1.5K, or 2K and charges for the actual output count, including the base image. Magic Layers keeps a target layer count and AI prompt planning. Reserve the selected target count at 10 credits per Flash output, 12 per Pro 1K/1.5K output, or 24 per Pro 2K output. Fewer outputs refund the difference; extra outputs incur additional credits and may leave a negative balance. Users can review the exact credit cost before starting a task. All results are private. Commercial-use rights are included with any paid purchase.
Use the scenario pages below for designers, motion artists, e-commerce teams, game and app creators, and other users who need layer separation, transparent cutouts, image enlargement, text cleanup, or mode-specific image generation. Each page states its real input formats, limits, credit cost, output type, and important boundary conditions.

## Guides
- [How to Split a Flat Image into Editable PNG Layers with AI](https://imagetolayers.org/blog/split-image-into-layers): A flat JPG or PNG is one frozen picture. This guide shows how AI can decompose it into separate transparent layers you can move, replace, or delete — and where that actually saves you hours.
## How the tools actually work
1. Choose the page that matches the intended result: editable RGBA layers, layered PSD, Canva-ready raster pieces, a transparent cutout, an enlarged image, text cleanup, or a generated image.
2. Upload a supported JPG, PNG, or WebP and select only the controls exposed by that workflow. Current upload and dimension limits are stated on each page before processing.
3. Review the exact credit cost and output settings, then run the task. Failed provider tasks are refunded according to the page and account rules.
4. Inspect the result at full size before downloading. AI can infer or rebuild pixels, so check edges, text, faces, logos, hidden reg
