# FloorGen

> FloorGen is free floor plan software in the browser: draw a plan in 2D, walk through it in 3D and print scaled drawings. No sign-up to start. Its MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI apps read and edit the plan.

- Free, with no project cap. Paid plans export without a watermark; free exports may carry a small FloorGen badge. Projects save in the browser; signing in with Google adds cloud sync. The in-app AI chat needs sign-in.
- About 3,000 furniture and fixture models in 14 categories, including cars, motorcycles, workbenches and garage shelving.
- Metric or imperial units, to 1/16 in or 1 mm. Rooms and stairs are checked against code profiles (IRC, NBC, OBC, UK Approved Documents, DIN, CDMX) as a design aid, not a permit approval.
- 3D orbit, dollhouse and walk modes, and MP4 walkthrough videos with captions. No photoreal rendering.
- Tracing: import an image or PDF, set the scale with two points, then accept the walls it suggests.
- Drawings: elevations, sections and print sets from Letter to ARCH D / A1 with a title block.
- Exports: PNG, PDF, SVG, DXF (R12), glTF, MP4/WebM video, view-only HTML, CSV and JSON. No DWG or IFC export. DXF import with layer mapping: walls, doors, windows and room names.
- Sharing is a downloaded view-only HTML file: no hosted share links and no real-time multi-user editing.
- MCP endpoint: https://floorgen.app/mcp (an AI app connects by signing in with OAuth, or with an agent key).
