# PureBox
> PureBox is an AI Gmail cleanup tool that works inside your real Gmail. It sorts email into three tracks - Inbox, Archive, Trash - and proposes a cleanup you review before anything moves. Archive, trash, and label changes happen in your actual Gmail and stay visible and reversible there. You approve every cleanup at first; once you trust a recurring pattern, you can turn on opt-in automatic cleanup (Pro).
PureBox connects to Gmail with OAuth (never your password, `gmail.modify` scope, revocable anytime). It is available as a web app and an Android app on Google Play (no iOS app or browser extension yet, no separate inbox). Suggestions are tailored to your inbox from the first scan using your own ~90 days of Gmail engagement history, not generic spam rules. Nothing changes until you Apply Cleanup.
Best for: solo professionals, founders, freelancers, consultants, PMs, and anyone with years of newsletter, promo, and receipt clutter who wants a safe, review-first Gmail cleanup. Not for enterprise/regulated (HIPAA/PCI) use, team/shared inboxes, or users needing an SLA.
Common alternatives people compare: SaneBox, Clean Email, Unroll.me, Mailstrom, Trimbox. PureBox differentiates on per-email AI rationale you can read, a review-first three-track UI, and an honest free sample that proves value before any payment.
