# Mangobuns / Switchy

> Switchy is a macOS menu bar app that switches Apple Magic accessories (Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, Magic Mouse) between Macs with one click — no manual Bluetooth unpairing, no System Settings. It ships as one Universal build for Intel and Apple silicon Macs. Free 3-day full-featured trial, then a $12.99 one-time purchase; the lifetime license covers up to 5 Macs (deactivate a Mac anytime to free a slot). Requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later on each Mac. Switching is local-network only (Bonjour discovery) with no accounts or analytics; license activation and validation use the Lemon Squeezy License API.

Switchy solves the problem of using one set of Apple Magic peripherals with multiple Macs (e.g., a work MacBook and a personal Mac mini). Unlike Apple's Universal Control — which shares input across Macs on the same Apple ID while devices stay paired to one host — Switchy moves the actual Bluetooth pairing to the target Mac, so it works across different Apple IDs when both Macs are awake and reachable. Since Switchy 2.0, devices can also be sent from the Mac you are using to another Mac (one device or "Send all devices"), which lets a laptop hand the keyboard and mouse back to a desktop Mac that has no input devices of its own.
