> Project Management with AI Teammates.
is.team is an AI-native project management platform where AI agents and humans manage projects together. AI teammates (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible tools) join your boards, create tasks, chat, and get work done — just like human team members.
## What is is.team?
is.team is an AI-native SaaS project management platform with an infinite canvas workspace (similar to FigJam). Users and AI agents create boards (kanban columns with task cards) and notes directly on the canvas. Everything is zoomable, linkable, and always in sync via real-time collaboration. AI agents connect via MCP Server or API to work alongside your team.
## Core Features
### AI Teammates
- **MCP Server**: Model Context Protocol server that lets AI clients (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, and any MCP client) join boards and work as team members. Available on every plan, including Free. Connect with just the URL https://is.team/mcp — an OAuth 2.1 sign-in in the browser picks the workspaces, no token to copy. The remote server exposes 17 tools (cards, tasks, comments, time logs, notes, and canvas). The optional local agent (`@isteam/mcp` npm package) expands this to 110+ tools — board/card/member CRUD, sprints, worklogs, attachments, notifications, integrations (GitHub, Slack, Drive, Figma, Calendar) — plus real-time card chat in Claude Code and a background daemon. API tokens (`ist_` prefix) are available for CI and scripts. Setup guide: https://is.team/docs/ai/mcp-server
- **AI Card Assistant**: Per-card AI chat powered by Gemini with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) — semantic search over entire chat history using vector embeddings. Supports vision (image analysis), document understanding (Excel, PDF, DOCX, CSV, JSON), web search, interactive questions, and 61 built-in tools
- **AI Card Automations**: Natural language automation rules per card. Write a prompt — the AI agent evaluates it when tasks enter and can move tasks, update properties, assign members, add comments, send emails, and post Slack messages
- **AI Agent Badges**: Drag and drop AI agent avatars onto cards to assign MCP subscriptions with real-time task notifications and live tool-call indicators
- **AI Project Planner**: Describe a project in natural language and the AI generates a complete board structure — columns, tasks with types/priorities/assignees/story points, connected notes, and a timeline. Picks between Sequential / Parallel (multi-team tracks) / Phased (roadmap) / Sprint templates from your prompt, with optional Skeleton-only mode that produces an empty board structure for you to fill in yourself
- **AI Meeting Notes**: Record meetings (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or built-in voice rooms via Skribby.io), auto-transcribe with Gemini, and extract action items that become tasks on your board
### Project Management
- **Infinite Canvas Workspace**: FigJam-like zoomable canvas where boards and notes are freely placed
- **Kanban Boards**: Drag-and-drop task columns with cards, labels, priorities, story points, and due dates
- **Note Stacks**: Group canvas notes into collapsible stacks with drag & drop organization and dog-ear visual fold
- **Rich Text Editor**: Tiptap-based editor with headings, code blocks, checklists, tables (with floating toolbar), slash commands, and embedded media
- **Real-time Collaboration**: Live cursors with colored presence indicators, simultaneous editing via Yjs CRDT, and remote cursor labels
- **Voice Channels**: Built-in voice chat with screen sharing for team communication
- **Worklog System**: Per-user time tracking with worklog entries, descriptions, Pomodoro mode (25/5 cycle), AI time estimation, smart recovery for forgotten timers, quick log (⌘⇧T), weekly timesheet with CSV export, time analytics (daily/member/task charts), and a native desktop timer app (macOS, Windows, Linux). All included in every plan
- **Budget Tracking**: Per-member hourly rates, workspace currency, board budgets (hours or currency), real-time cost breakdown, color-coded progress bar (green/amber/red), billable vs. non-billable entries, CSV export, and per-sprint cost view. Available on Starter+ plans
- **Timeline View**: Gantt-style timeline for task scheduling — drag to reschedule, resize to adjust duration, zoom between day/week/month views. Tasks display with assignee avatars, priority colors, and dependency awareness. Works alongside the kanban view on any board
- **Sprint Management**: Agile sprints at the board level — planning, active, completed lifecycle. Burndown charts, sprint health indicator, backlog management, carry-over on completion, velocity tracking, and sprint goal banner on canvas
- **Integrations**: GitHub (PR/issue linking with auto-status), Slack (Block Kit notifications), Google Drive (inline file previews), Figma (sandboxed embeds), Google Calendar (automatic deadline sync)
- **Workspace Analytics**: Completion trends, cycle time analysis, workload distribution by member, task throughput charts, daily activity heatmaps, member performance comparison, and CSV/PDF export. Includes sprint velocity tracking, burndown charts, and cross-board reporting with man-day metrics
- **Workflow Automation**: End-to-end automation pipeline combining card-level rule automations, AI automations, GitHub auto-complete (PR merge → task done), Slack notifications, outgoing webhooks (Zapier/Make), and scheduled cron jobs (auto-archive, stale task moves). No-code setup via Card Settings
- **Public Board Sharing**: Share links, embed boards, and optional password protection
- **Free Trial**: 30-day free trial for all paid plans — no credit card required
- **Embeddable Forms**: Public task collection forms with Turnstile CAPTCHA, conditional fields, file upload, 6 templates (bug report, feature request, contact, feedback, support ticket, blank), webhooks, CSV export, submission analytics, and 3 embed methods (script tag, iframe, direct link). Auto-creates tasks with field-to-property mapping (title, description, type, priority). Anti-spam: honeypot, timing check, one-time token, IP deduplication, domain allowlist. Available on Starter+ plans
- **Board Visibility**: Restrict board access to specific workspace members
- **Card Automation**: Auto-complete, notify assignee on enter, auto-assign, auto-reporter, auto-due-date (N days), auto-label (with color), auto-archive (completed tasks after N days), auto-move stale tasks (daily cron), max active tasks per column, smart column sorting (8 modes), and apply-on-drop triggers for cross-column handoffs
- **Daily Planning**: Per-board standup scheduling with configurable weekdays, time, and timezone. In-app floating countdown banner (5 min before, with 30s audio alerts, amber→green color transition), email notifications (on start + before), Slack channel messages (on start + before), and in-app bell notifications. Deduplication prevents duplicate sends. Integrates with built-in voice rooms — no calendar invites or Zoom links needed. Available on all plans
- **Canvas Settings**: Per-user personalization — mini map, snap-to-grid (10/20/40px), background patterns (dots/lines/cross/none), pan-on-scroll, edge animation, AI chat position (aside/inline)
- **Subtasks**: Parent-child task hierarchy across cards and boards. Completion tracking with visual progress bars on parent cards. Optional auto-complete parent when all subtasks are done. Subtask references include task number, title, and board for cross-board visibility
- **Webhooks**: Outgoing webhooks for Zapier/Make automation. Events: task.created, task.completed, task.moved, task.commented. Payloads are HMAC-SHA256 signed for security. Configure per workspace with retry support
- **Search**: Global search (⌘K) across all tasks, boards, and notes in the workspace. Instant results with keyboard navigation, grouped by board. Searches task titles, descriptions, labels, and assignee names
- **Filters**: Advanced multi-criteria filtering by assignee, priority, type, label, due date range, sprint, and completion status. Filters persist per session and work across all cards on the board. Combine filters for complex queries (e.g. "high priority bugs assigned to me due this week")
- **Comments & Activity**: Threaded comments with @mentions (triggers in-app + email notifications), activity log tracking all field changes (assignee, priority, status, labels, dates), move history between cards, and worklog entries. Comments support rich text formatting
- **Attachments**: Drag-and-drop file uploads with inline previews for images, PDFs, and documents. Storage per plan (100 MB free, up to 20 GB on Max). Files are accessible from the task detail panel and searchable by name
- **Notifications**: In-app, email, and Slack notifications for assignments, comments, mentions, due date reminders (per-user timezone), daily board digest (workspace timezone, weekday mornings), and daily standup reminders (per-board schedule with email + in-app countdown). All scheduled notifications are timezone-aware — user timezone is auto-detected at signup, workspace timezone is set by the owner
- **Story Points**: Fibonacci-scale estimation per task (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21). Sprint velocity tracking compares estimated vs. completed points. Visible on task cards, sprint boards, and analytics dashboards. Used for capacity planning and sprint health indicators
