## Mozart journal
- [How to get out of the 8-bar loop (without adding more tracks)](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-to-get-out-of-the-eight-bar-loop): The answer to an eight-bar loop is rarely more layers. It is a few decisions that give the idea somewhere to go.
- [Music needs more than a style](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-to-work-with-musical-tradition): A tradition is not a texture to sprinkle over a track. It is a body of choices, histories, and listening—worth approaching with more care.
- [How to start DJing: build your first 30-minute set](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-to-start-djing): The fastest way to learn DJing is not more gear or more tracks. Build one small set, know why every transition belongs, and play it until it feels like yours.
- [How to make your first electronic track: start with a small arrangement](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-to-make-your-first-electronic-track): Your first electronic track does not need a wall of presets. A beat, bass, one musical idea, and a few deliberate changes are enough to finish something real.
- [How to plan a DJ set: build an energy curve you can still leave](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-to-plan-a-dj-set-energy-curve): The strongest DJ set plan gives you direction without scripting the audience. Build landmarks, arcs, and exits instead of one locked playlist.
- [How to make chord progressions more interesting: move the voices, not the chord count](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-to-make-chord-progressions-more-interesting): Before adding exotic chords, change how the notes travel, when the harmony arrives, and what the bass chooses to say.
- [What are 8 bars in music? Count the phrase, not the screen](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/what-are-8-bars-in-music): Eight bars is a useful unit of musical time, not a law. Count the pulse, listen for change, and let the recording tell you where the phrase ends.
- [What is musical style? Genre, style, and tradition are not the same](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/what-is-musical-style): Genre helps people gather, style describes audible choices, and tradition carries practice through people and time. The words overlap, but they do different work.
- [How long is a bar of music? Convert bars to seconds at any tempo](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-long-is-a-bar-of-music): A bar has no fixed duration. It lasts as long as its beats do, which makes tempo and meter the only two numbers you need.
- [Spotify Mix: make DJ-style playlists and use Spotify DJ](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/spotify-mix-playlists-and-dj): Make your first mixed playlist, fix its rough handoffs, and choose the right Spotify DJ feature for what you want to do.
- [Can you DJ with Spotify in 2026? What works—and what does not](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/can-you-dj-with-spotify): Spotify is useful for learning and experimenting inside supported DJ software. It is not a dependable or licensed replacement for an owned performance library.
- [AI MIDI generator: keep the notes editable and the decisions yours](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/ai-midi-generator-editable-workflow): The useful shift in AI music is not a faster finished song. It is a playable part you can question, reshape, and make answer the rest of your music.
- [How to write a melody over a chord progression](https://www.cplofmngs.com/blog/how-to-write-a-melody-over-a-chord-progression): Turn a chord loop into a melody with direction: hear the stable notes, create tension deliberately, and revise the phrase instead of guessing at a scale.
